Finally got to experience the pastie

For years driving on hwy 2 to I-75 south I have seen lots of signs for pasties and never got to try one. Finally on our trip to mackinaw city I got to experience one, It was fabulous and everything I dreamed it would be. Love that they have veggie ones too for hubby. It's a shame they can't ship... read more

In town for Memorial Day weekend, I always stop here right before getting on 75 south and stock up on frozen pasties. I usually get chicken and veggie and cheese for my eating pleasure at a later date. Very easy to preheat and they are as good as if you ate them at the establishment itself. I have found the... If you have never had a pastie, please don't try these first. They are okay, but they are a fast-food version of a pastie.

They were just okay compared to our old memory of what they were like many years back. The warm beef filling was okay, and they sure looked great, but crust very mediocre, not real flakey at least to us.

On our way back from the island, decided we wanted pasties before getting on southbound 75. Kind of wanted to go over to the UP side via the Mighty Mac, but it was early spring & we'd heard not a lot was open yet & husband didn't really want to take the time. Used smart phone and found this one,... More

I wrote a review on this place in 2012. I stopped here again and again. It is always fantastic. Their Pasties are the best. They always taste like they were made the day you order them. Freshly made and steaming hot. Nothing better on a cold day. Beef Pasties, brown gravy, cookies and Cole slaw. I always order the same... More

Should have taken a photograph but it was so good it was gone before I thought of it. Suggest you order an original, although they offer Italiano and Stroganoff???? Not hungry? You can get them to go for later

If you visit you have to try a pasties. They are something of a tradition with our family. They are also really good with gravy!

I'd never had Pasties and didn't realize what a treat we were in for. Pasties are a little like a hybrid of tourtiere, meat pies, and jamaican patties. Yumm. Staff was helpful in describing. These made for a tasty, quick meal in a hurry. I would take some frozen ones home next time.
