Nom Nom!

We go here every time we vacation here. The place is wonderful inside and the food is always very good. When it's busy the service is slow but the wait is worth it.

What was so memorable about this restaurant is the bizarre atmosphere - taxidermy all over the place including full size bears, wolves, beavers, raccoons, elk, even a zebra head. It's really remarkable and I enjoyed having the little brown bears staring at me while I ate. And…all amongst little pine trees with strung with white Christmas lights which sort of... More

This place was very strange. There were taxidermied animals from every available space - rafters, walls, ceilings. It was disconcerting to be in an Italian restaurant and the decor be so non-Italian. I saw a stuffed Zebra, Baboon, Lion, Wolf, and everything in between. It was like hunting gluttony. My dining companions and I were not expecting to see such... More

My wife and I travel to Mackinaw City every fall. We like to have one night that we have a really nice meal and we have chosen Nonna Lisa's because last year it was AWESOME! We even brag to everyone who goes to Mackinaw to spend the extra money and have a really great meal. NEVER AGAIN! I don't know... More

WOW! the lasagna was really good! The portions are HUGE and we loved, loved, loved it! The food was so good that the decor didn't really matter to me.

What a strange restaurant. There's taxidermy everywhere, which is kind of cool but overwhelming, & rustic wood furniture with sharp edges. You'll find a stuffed giraffe, lion, & polar bear, along with a raccoon, skunk, & beaver rowing a little canoe. I ordered lobster ravioli, which, now in hindsight, probably wasn't a good idea. It was inedible. The pasta was... More

I'm not one who normally raves about a meal (I'm pretty happy with anything), but the Stromboli here was almost better than sex (almost). The food was not just throwing something together and hoping it tastes good; they know food and know what flavors compliment each other. It was fantastic! One of the best restaurants I've ever dined in. The... More

This is our go-to restaurant in Mackinaw City with kids and with big groups. We eat here at least 3x a summer. Kid-friendly food and ambiance with the stuffed wildlife decorating the ceiling, rafters, and walls. There is even a pond indoors. Food is good and everyone will surely find something to eat, e.g. gluten-free. Great place to catch up... More
