Excellent food and great atmosphere. My favorite restaurant in the city. Their seafood portofino is worth going back to each year.

On a fall trip to Mackinac Island, our group of four decided to have lunch in Mackinaw City before traveling to Mackinac Island. We happened upon Nonna Lisa's. We were very impressed with the decor of the restaurant; a true northern Michigan log cabin-style. From there, things started to go downhill quickly. We were seated almost immediately. However, it took... More

Probably the best part of the whole experience was the motif. All the animals and wood tables were awesome. The service was pretty good too. Food was good but not for the price. We ate light and still managed to spend $50 (that included the 10% hotel discount). Plus, if you plan on sharing a meal they charge you more!... More

Food was good. We had pizza and lasagna. One beer and hot tea. $45 before tip. Waiter was attentive. It was late on a Thursday in late October. Not many places open. Place was about half full. We had low expectations but it turned out OK. Clearly a tourist place. Not many alternatives.

This was the worst place I have ever been to in a major tourist town! Find somewhere else to go no matter what the coupon you got in your hotel room says! They advertise a wood burning pizza oven - LIES!!! 45 minutes before we got even a part of our order. Took 20 minutes to get the other part.... More

This place was beautiful, when I stepped in with its crafted wooden tables and all the twinkling lights that were around the restaurant, it had the feel of a rustic northern lodge. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The wait time was awhile but was worth the wait It packed when I went, which was a week before they... More

We all LOVED the decor at Nonna's. Truly, it was unique and tasteful and worth one trip if you have never been here. The Pros: Our server was also excellent! In fact, the hostess was excellent as well. Our appetizer and meals were also great. My kids LOVED their pizzas. I would recommend their Cheese Ravioli. And my mother and... More

My husband & I went to a local Italian restaurant in Macinaw City, Michigan. My husband could not take his eyes off from the many animal mounts as well as the wood creations. Beyond that, the food was delicious. We had a wood fired pizza that was generous on fresh whole ingredients. The service was good. Prices were affordable. We... More
