Last week I went to the Carriage House to celebrate my Grandparents 70th Anniversary. We were staying on the Mackinac Island to celebrate the occasion at Mission Point resort but we wanted to go somewhere else for the special event. We decided on the Carriage House at the Iroquois Hotel for 3 reasons... First, they had very good reviews on... more

I worked with the Food and Beverage Director to host a luncheon for my niece and her bridesmaids and it was simply perfect. The day of the luncheon it was cool out so although I had requested outdoor seating, they had a table for 12 set up both inside and outside so I could easily move the luncheon indoors. We... more

We ate here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was good but it is expensive. The view is spectacular, best view on island. The service was great as well. Would highly recommend you try this out but be prepared to pay! more

Went there for a birthday celebration instead of dinner at the Grand Hotel, which required very formal dressing up and was $75.00 pp. The entire experience was excellent. We each had different dishes, including the pork, scallops, and veal, and were each very satisfied. My teenagers requested fettucine alfredo, which was not on the menu per se, but they complied... more

Awesome hotel, too bad about the so called cuisine...just suprised they don't have Strohs on tap and net stockings on the waitresses. Basic mid-western food; same as you get at an Elks Lodge, actually the lodge might have something over the clowns in this kitchen. Doesn't take Escoffier to figure out the soup, and sauces are all out of a can....Chef... more

We had a party of 8 on a weekend evening during peak summer month. Overall, the experience was excellent - especially so for a seasonal restaurant. The service was professional and near perfect. Everyone was happy meals. Entrees ran mid-$30s. With 2-3 drinks each, apps, meal, and deserts/coffee the split was about $80 per person after tip (20% included for... more

We went to the Carriage House to celebrate my in-laws 42nd wedding anniversary. It was really beautiful inside (tropical type decor) with fantastic views of the straits and lighthouse. The food was good (menu changes often) and the staff was very accommodating. We had two small children with our party of seven and they were friendly and had things to... more

Had a great dinner there, whitefish was a little bland but the rest of the food was great. Waiter was a college kid who was really friendly and attentive. It's a bit too expensive, but hard to beat the view. more

We always have dinner at the Carriage House when we visit the island. Reserve a table outside and be prepared to have the most enjoyable evening. The food has always been fantastic! The filet mignon with bernaise sauce is the best I have ever had. The salad with michigan cherries and warm crusted goat cheese is excellent. dinner may run... more
