We enjoyed the service and the atmosphere, but the food was only okay and didn't feel like it was worth what we paid. It was somewhat pricey, but so is everything on the island. We were placed near the door, and every time someone walked in, the stench of horse poo would hit our nostrils. Not how I like spending... More

Very popular restaurant on the island. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. If you like macaroni, the Painted Pony Macaroni appetizer is to die for. They are tasty, cheesy macaroni noodles formed into balls and deep fried. Terriffic!!. Also had the whitefish reuben sandwich and it was excellent as well.

Seabiscuit is always our first stop on the Island (even before checking in)! We stop in for breakfast and champagne and have never been disapointed in the 10+ years we've been going there/to the Island. John, Nancy and Emily all go above and beyond to make our time perfect - including making sure our special champagne is available. We have... More

We had lunch at the Seabiscuit Cafe during our annual girls weekend. We were lucky enough to get the big front booth next to the window. The street view on Mackinac Island is one of my favorite things to see and listen to the horses clip clopping by. I had the tomato basil soup and the sweet potato fries. Good... More

Reliving my trip to Northern Michigan and had to comment on the great trip to Mackinac Island. Ate at Seabiscuit. Friendly atmosphere, great food and good service. It provided a nice break from an afternoon of walking. They have TV's for game watching. The décor is turn of the century with high tin ceilings. I would highly recommend

My family stopped in here to have a nice dinner and we were treated to a wonderful meal. Just can't say enough about it. I tried a taste of everyone else's food and it was all good! Very nice waitress and the huge booths were perfect for conversation, get one by the front windows if you're lucky!

We ate at the Seabiscuit Cafe in June 2013, the restaurant was very warm, we had salads and immediately after eating the Gyro Bread Salad my mother became very ill. We rushed her to the Islands emergency room where she was stabilized and given an IV. It was determined that she suffered from food poisoning and immediately the restaurant was... More

Seabiscuit Cafe takes great care to provide the very best food products. We are not responsible for Ann Gurowski’s experience on Mackinac. We have no reports of food poisoning at our restaurant. This is a very serious charge. Furthermore on that day many other people were served that exact item and no one else reported any illness. We regret that... More

Liked their bisque soup and their wings hit the spot after a chilly ferry ride to island. Server warmed up too once the flood of customers subsided.

We go to Mackinac every summer and stay on the island. This is our favorite restaurant. the Tomato Bisque soup is very good as is everything else that we have had there. If you get hungry later in the evening, try the onion rings, they make a great snack. Last year we went there in the fall too (first time... More
