Friendly Staff & Great Grub

This family-owned and operated restaurant features grill-side seating in a diner atmosphere. I love the Granny Grilled Cheese; it puts a unique twist on an old favorite. Also good: Bacon BBQ Burger, French Toast, Biscuits & Gravy, Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. Incidently, that's everything I've eaten... read more

Great little place to have breakfast in the morning. Our 11 year old loved her flapjack with a peace hand stamped into it and was asking to go back the next day with in 5 minutes of leaving. Fast service and great food!

The food is below par and the prices have raised at least 30% from when Jessie ran it. It is sad to see after nearly 10 years (3 times a year) going to Jessie's that this isn't our "go-to" breakfast spot...NO MATTER WHERE we were staying anymore.

Went here for lunch today based on all the great reviews. Ordered a burger, since that is supposed to be the specialty and found it pretty ordinary and over cooked.

The best breakfast and the best burger in town! I have eaten here tons of times and never have had a bad meal. They use real hamburger meat rather than a frozen patty. It is cooked right in front of you (so you know nothing funny is going on with your food). Just a fun place to eat with wonderful... More

Very neat diner with terrific food and lots of good coffee. A place to return to always. You won't be disappointed and Joann's great fudge right next door!

If you visit Mackinac Island you have to go to the Chuck Wagon for breakfast or lunch. We kept hearing about it and were glad someone told us they are only open til 3pm. So we made a point of setting aside one day to have lunch. It is the tiniest restaurant I have ever been in! What a blast.... More

Had lunch here this week. Service was friendly and quick. Burgers were good but a bit overcooked and dry. The burger I ordered was supposed to have pepper jack cheese but came with cheddar. We were in a hurry so I could not send it back. May stop back for breakfast though - the menu looks pretty enticing.
