This little roadside stop doesn't look like much, but this is one of those cases where the book shouldn't be judged by the cover! What is caught that day is served that day. They fry and package up whatever they have until it is gone. Go a little early if you are looking for a specific lake fish. I would... More

Heard a lot about this remote dining spot and searched all through Ludington for it till my wife cranked it into our iPhone GPS. It is located to the south of the city and east of US-31. Simple to locate with GPS but not otherwise as there were no signs at all. It was the last day open for 2014... More

Live nearby so I find myself here once a week or so. Best place in the Ludington/Pentwater for fried or smoked fish and other fried foods. The people working are very helpful and quick to explain where everything comes from. If you have trouble finding a place to sit, (small outdoor sitting area) head south on Lake Shore 25 yards,... Great as usual, have been coming here for years. Love the selection and the friendly service. Yes, it is small and yes it gets crowded, that is just part of the charm! Always fun to see so many other picnickers at the township park across the road with the white bags :).

We FINALLY got to this establishment and it is SMALL, 8 people inside ordering and that was chaos-glad we didn't hit rush hour. Large cases of beautiful fresh expensive fish and smaller case of smoked fish. Tried the lake perch dinner-it was OK, light breading but unseasoned except for salt added after being cooked, if requested. Much better lake perch... More

Overpriced for what you get- The Tartar sauce should be Kraft little packets(warm). I would think different but there are many more places in NW Michigan where you can get a better fish fry. Yea, The Lake Perch and whitefish is fresh-but Scalawags up in TC and Mackinaw city would put this place to shame. The only reason it's rated... More

We've been coming here for a few years & I promise you won't be disappointed. No frills. Nothing fancy just place your order at a counter & move over for the next person. Food is made in front of you. Fresh. Hot. Yummy. Need I say more? Yes, I almost forgot they only accept cash. Happy eating

I have been coming up to Ludington for many, many years as a child and now a parent. I love this little piece of Michigan heaven! For years, our tradition has always been to clean up the leftovers in the cabin fridge and head downtown for the sidewalk sale. This year, I suggested a break and we loaded up our... More

I found this place thanks to TripAdvisor, and I timed my visit to be in the afternoon in hopes of avoiding a long line. It worked! I walked in, put in my order (lake perch), and was out the door in a matter of minutes. The fish, like other reviewers mentioned, was not greasy at all. The staff was very... More
