Great comfort food at a good price. If you want drinks though, go for beer or wine, not mixed drinks

This is an old place, crowded but thats because the food is good. Parking in back is lots easier than trying to parellel park in front. The home made bread is wonderful! Buffet for breakfast and dinner. Good soups!

Stopped in on a Friday for breakfast. During the fall they only run the buffet on the weekends, but the menu has many good selections. The french toast comes either with regular or home made bread. I opted for the home made bread, and could only eat one slice as it was over an inch thick, and must have weighed... More

This place takes me back to the old diners in the farming community my family grew up in. We stopped here for breakfast in the mid morning on Oct. 7. They make their own toast here. It is double the thickness of a regular slice of bread and was very good. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals. The... More

I have been going to the Old Hamlin for their Sunday chicken dinner special for years. Chicken, mashed potatoes, dressing, vegetable and soup or salad for $8.55! Choice of white or dark meat. Also served with a slab (too thick to call a slice) of their homemade bread which Is absolutely wonderful. The service couldn't have been better. The decor... More

Was hoping for the breakfast buffet on the Friday we departed. Got there only find the buffet is only on Sat & Sun. Ordered off the menu. Food was good as was service. Price was good but sure would have liked the buffet.

Old Hamlin has a very warm, old-family feel, full of dark woodwork and a memory-filled atmosphere. I especially love the sort of awning that the "bar" area is under. I had the Rogerburger, which was like a BLT meets a burger, and was delicious. The fries were well done, and not very salted so you could add salt if you... More

Sorry about the gravy. Our cooks can get a little carried away with it sometimes. We are glad you enjoyed the homemade bread though. And thanks for the review! More

The Swedish pancakes are very good, we've been here before. We're thinking the location is different but we're not sure about that. Either way, we will return.

I am sorry but you must have us confused with a different restaurant. We dont serve Swedish pancakes and we have always been in this location since 1942. More

We were there for a quick lunch. A buffet was offered but the food was just ok. There was a variety of foods but nothing stood out as being especially exceptional.

I was wondering why you thought our prices were "a little on the high side"? You should make some kind of example of pricing to explain what you mean. I believe our prices are comparable to all the other restaurants and the fact that you definitely don't leave hungry should account for something as well. More
