This is the only place that we get carry out. Food proportions are always big and taste great! I love the ham fried rice!

Restaurant décor is from the 60's. Only place in an unoccupied strip mall, but often the restaurant is full. Everything is cooked to order and the lunch combos are an excellent value. Family owned and operated. Service always with a smile. Very generous portions. Often enough for two meals.

Food was runny and outdated. Everything had a weird taste. The area outside is not clean or nice looking. I'll stick with lucky wok in garden city

This used to be a once a week destination as a teen 30 years ago. Moved away and this was the first opportunity to return while in the area. I always thought it was the best Chinese food at the time, and I could never find another place to match it since (food wise). The restaurant hasn't changed much in... More

There are many delightful dishes to choose from, and no one should go away hungry, no matter what you order. Service was delightful. It's a family business, and they love customers' kids, too. The tea was great. Pay no attention to appearances--it's a wonderful restaurant.

The Ten Yen is a staple in the Westland area, it is an older building inside and out: however, once you taste the food, it is incredible! Best sweet and sour around for miles. The food is always cooked on the premises, served hot, and with great service. The restaurant has both silverware or chop sticks, and the chinese tea... More

Same great food, Same large portions. Favorite Chinese restaurant of all time. The bean sprout egg rolls are the best anywhere. I get 30 carry out when ever in town.

Okay, sure. This place is old and dusty. The carpet is worn. The decor hasn't been updated much since the LBJ administration. And never mind that "Yen" isn't even a Chinese unit of currency. This place has CHARACTER and there's something to be said for longevity. Scores of loyal customers have kept this place open for decades to enjoy heaping... More

My husband and I went for the first time in early December. It was so good that we decided to take the family there for our Christmas Day dinner! We have been back numerous times and we absolutely love everything about it. The food is great and they give so much, you have enough for another meal to take home!... More

Although it has been a couple years since I've been home to Westland, I can tell you Ten Yen has the best egg rolls I've had and their plum sauce fantastic too. I love the food and get cravings regularly. Just sad because I can't staisfy those cravings because I livve in Texas and have for the last 23 years.
