Buca is wildly popular, but I honestly can't understand the appeal. The food is overpriced ($20 and up for a bowl of spaghetti?!!) and mediocre at best. Just not worth the time when there are so many other wonderful restaurants in the area to try.

Was working late at my eldest son's house cleaning the garage and building a workbench. My younger son and a couple of friends of theirs joined us and my daughter-in-law during the evening. When we finally took a break at 9:30 Buca's was suggested. We ordered the Carbonara pasta (large), spaghetti and meatballs (large), stuffed shells (reg) and an anti-pasta... More

This is an interesting restaurant that caters to the traditional family style dinners. Large and small groups are welcomed. Seperate checks are not a big deal. Plan on splitting your entrees as they are sized for 2+ or 4+. Also plan on taking some home as there is plenty served. Food is delicious. I sampled six different entrees and two... More

We had an extended family dinner. We ordered two entries. We took food home. It is a bit pricey. You do get a delicious bread basket, but sides, salads are an extra cost. You can't order an individual salad, as everything is family style and serves at least two people, but really three as they give you a lot of... More

Celebrated family birthday and was great experience. Had 10 people and service was great. We had the Pope Room which accomodated us all very well. Food was very good and lots of it served family style so we all tried couple different pasta dishes and salads. They let us bring in our own cake and everyone joined in to sing... More

Picked up carry out today. We've been to this restaurant several times over the past 5yrs. For a chain Italian Restaurant, it's pretty consistent. It's not horrible at all. I try to be pretty fair when reviewing restaurants. I've always had good friendly service here and the prices, as others have mentioned are more tailored for groups of people and... More

Love the pics all over the place. Lots to look at. Love the rotating head of the Pope! The menu can be a little overwhelming because you just aren't sure if you ordered too much or too little. The prices seem high, but if you are splitting a large entree with 4 people/2 couples, you just break it down. We... More

VERY disappointing lunch for our group of 4! When making the reservation, I instantly received a confirmation number which I put on my calendar - that's all I needed! I then received my first email confirmation; ok, I can accept that. I also received a reminder email, and by now it's getting ridiculous... Then, a voicemail saying I need to... More

I think if you are coming with a big group, this restaurant might be fun. We went with our two small grandchildren and were quite shocked by the bill because everything is family style so all appetizers, entrees and desserts are for more than one person. And since we didn't want the same entrée, we had to order two which... More

The ambiance is cool, with it like you're in someone's house having dinner. However, the food is not very good, and it's kind of expensive for what you get. So going once for the experience is OK, but I wouldn't recommending going back.
