Just ok

Foods just ok.. Not what you would expect for the price. The service was just ok. I'm not a big fan of family dinning. I like single portions better. The restaurant is also pretty confusing . It's like a maze if you haven't been there before.

Came in late Friday night and wanted plain pasta and chicken for two boys. I failed to get a price over the phone. Ten minutes after I arrived (it was at least five minutes before I was acknowledged) and almost $40 lighter, I left with three chicken beasts that weren't as good as Wendy's, a bunch of sticky spaghetti noodles... I had my 21st birthday celebration with family here and it was just a lovely time. Amazing food, great drinks, yummy dessert, curtious staff and a unique and fun atmosphere made it extremely special to me. Our table, the pope table, was large and round, with a giant lazy Susan in the middle to make passing food easier. It was... More

I was in Detroit for a business trip and colleagues of mine wants me to join this "Italian" restaurant to help them understading the quality. Starters were basic, bu close to Italia, pizza included. Spaghetti and others definitely far from Italy cousin, more close to US cousin rather. I've been in more Italian style rather then this in US

Interesting and fun pictures to enjoy around the restaurant. Food was good and staff friendly. Special table in the kitchen which was very unique!

Buca is wildly popular, but I honestly can't understand the appeal. The food is overpriced ($20 and up for a bowl of spaghetti?!!) and mediocre at best. Just not worth the time when there are so many other wonderful restaurants in the area to try.

Was working late at my eldest son's house cleaning the garage and building a workbench. My younger son and a couple of friends of theirs joined us and my daughter-in-law during the evening. When we finally took a break at 9:30 Buca's was suggested. We ordered the Carbonara pasta (large), spaghetti and meatballs (large), stuffed shells (reg) and an anti-pasta... More

This is an interesting restaurant that caters to the traditional family style dinners. Large and small groups are welcomed. Seperate checks are not a big deal. Plan on splitting your entrees as they are sized for 2+ or 4+. Also plan on taking some home as there is plenty served. Food is delicious. I sampled six different entrees and two... More

We had an extended family dinner. We ordered two entries. We took food home. It is a bit pricey. You do get a delicious bread basket, but sides, salads are an extra cost. You can't order an individual salad, as everything is family style and serves at least two people, but really three as they give you a lot of... More
