We go there before or the morning after a MSU football game. The place is always busy. And the food is worth the wait. Get the Bloody Mary prior to the game or the morning after to recover!

Ordered a beer and was going to eat dinner. Started to drink the beer and felt fuzz, hair and nasty stuff on the lip of the glass. Luckily did not drink it and wash the nasty stuff down. I pointed it out to the waitress. She went to get me another beer. I was so grossed out I lost my... More

We chose to go to the Soup Spoon Cafe for my partner's birthday based on the reviews we found online. I must say that the Urban Spoon did not live up to the hype. We were seated quickly, which started the meal off right. The server was over immediately to ask if we wanted a beer and wine menu, and... More

Enjoyed Saturday brunch with a group of friends. The menu included both breakfast and lunch with unique combinations of fresh ingredients. We all agreed the food is delicious!

I found Soup Spoon Cafe high on the Trip Advisor list and for some reason I expecting more of a "ladies lunch" spot. This is a bit more bohemian, granola college crowd. The food was great. Original and fresh. Soups were the best. Try it for something unique to Lansing. It was not crowded at 2:30PM on a Monday.

I've eaten at Soup Spoon many times and have eaten a delicious meal every time. They serve quite a bit of locally- or Michigan-sourced foods and have a great MI craft beer list. The service has always been great and the employees are very courteous. The only problem with Soup Spoon is they are too popular for the small space... More

I was in town on business and I stopped in here for a quick lunch. I'll be honest, I didn't get the best impression from the staff that met me at the door. It was after the immediate lunch hour and it seemed like they were just a little inconvenienced. The wait staff was fine, they said they would bring... More

Went for dinner last night. Service was fantastic, Roger is attentive and helpful with suggestions. You can see he takes pride in his job. Dinner menu is far superior to lunch and the atmosphere more relaxed.

I want to love this place. It's often crowded and I've heard good things...but my third visit (lunch) was as unremarkable as the first two. Food was bland and took 30 minutes to arrive cold--probably because the place was busy. We felt rushed and the server, while friendly, was obviously under pressure to move guests through.

Went with friends and all tried different dishes, all of which were very good. The Cubano was exceptional! The restaurant offers a range of prices. The atmosphere is nice, with local art on the walls and cozy. A bit loud, unfortunately, and server wasn't up to the same standard as the food. But a great place for dinner. Highly recommend... More
