We have been to this restaurant many times. For a while it was a "best kept secret" but then the word got out. Now it is difficult to get a table at lunch or dinner time. They do (or did) take reservations. The food is very good...don't let the name fool you. In addition to a changing selection of soup,... More

Soup Spoon features homemade food of excellent quality and all from a unique menu. Interesting ingredients and unusual twists on standard fare, all at a very affordable price. The only downside to this restaurant is that you often have to wait for a table!

I've only enjoyed lunch here, but I've never been disappointed. They do a wonderful job. Beauty in simplicity is what attracts me to their salmon plate (appetizer). And their soups, the ones I have tried, have been fantastic. Evolved flavors in every spoonful.

Fresh, unique food at a reasonable price! All freshly made while u wait with local ingredients!! If going for lunch go early or late or you'll be waiting in line to get seated at a table. It is small but well worth the wait!!

I tried this restaurant recently because of it's close proximity to Sparrow Hospital. Sure glad I did. Now I'm there at least once every 2 weeks. Their menu has so much variety and the prices are reasonable. Everything I've eaten there has been very good and always piping hot. One thing I've yet to try, is their desserts because I'm... More

Eating at the Soup Spoon Cafe reminds one of sitting ocean-side in a costal city having a great lunch that's unique and healthy. On a recent visit my daughter had the Lamb Burger which was perfectly prepared and served with soup, salad or chips. I had vegtable stir-fry a lightly lemony mix of asian veggies served with brown rice. "Sharables"... More

I ordered the Pesto Prima Vera $7 .Vegetables tossed with linguine in a pesto cream sauce. Add seared chicken $1.99. Add shrimp $2.99. I added seared chicken. Absolutely fantastic. It came to the table in a 12 inch serving bowl, steaming hot, veg ( red pepper, onion, shredded carrot, snow peas, mushrooms)seared just right. The linguine was nice and hot,... More

I have been to this restaurant at least one every two weeks for the last two years and have had consistently great experiences. The menu is interesting and varied and they are always changing out various michigan craft beers on their menu. There are entrees and small plates and it is fun to split two small plates and an entree... More

We've eaten here many times. Family weekend breakfast get togethers, lunch with co-workers, dinner with just my husband. We've never been disappointed. The best Manhattan I've ever had. Great wait staff. It can be very busy.
