Soup Spoon is one of a kind and I highly recommend it to residents or anyone passing through the area on business. The food is local, unique and so tasty. Their beer and wine selection is just as unique and tasty! Management is so great and they really draw people in from the area as regulars. There's always something new... More

This is not a chain. It serves good, mostly local food; the soups and sandwiches are excellent. It is close to the MSU campus. It is worth a visit.

Picking up my son from MSU and he said dad we got to try this place in Lansing. Great advice, wide assortment of sandwiches, soups and salads. People are great. Got to try it.

Came here while on business in Lansing based on user reviews and glad we did. Restaurant was very unassuming and close to the MSU campus. Menu was much broader than anticipated with a number of nightly specials. Full bar with many local brews as well as both local and varietal wines. There are a number of vegetarian and vegan options,... More

It's been a long time since I was in a restaurant where I ate especially slowly so as to savor every bit. The Soup Spoon is such a place. The soup, the entreé, and dessert were all delicious. It was great to get away from the chain restaurant jungle of E. Lansing, to drive just a bit into the city... More

Our son had visited this restaurant with his friends and said we just had to experience it. He was right. Soup Spoon Cafe is a great place. We went for lunch and I ordered soup of course. I had the Seafood Chowder. The best I believe I have ever had. a bowl is $6.00 and comes with crackers. I think... More

The atmosphere was friendly, restaurant was clean, nice to children. The soup was great. I ordered the four cups for $10. The small plates were perfect to go with this. Left full and happy. Very unique menu, yet plenty of common foods hidden behind cool names.

Never had a bad meal there. I especially enjoy their breakfast menu. You will not be disappointed on eating there breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Since Lansing and East Lansing are practically one city, consider it a college town. And college towns in general all should have a major breakfast spot. By that I mean a place which features home-style cooking but that also gets creative. At my alma mater the University of Oregon, the Glenwood filled that niche. Here, Soup Spoon does. I've known...
