This is by far our favorite place to go in Lansing. We have been coming here for several years, back when they only had one dining room, and before they had a liquor license. We are members of their "mug club" and enjoy some benefits. Over the years, it has become increasingly busier and more difficult to get a seat... More

We've been to the Soup Spoon for dinner a few times and always have had a positive experience. We tried it for breakfast last week and there are some unusual, but very good, breakfasts on the menu. The only complaint is with the potatoes; they seem to be reconstituted scalloped potatoes. I'd really like to see them serve "real" potatoes... More

Not sure how or why anyone who has visited the Soup Spoon has had a 'bad' experience. My husband and I visit the Soup Spoon at least once a month. Every time we are greeted with a smile and are now familiar faces to the owner and staff. The service is always impeccable and the food...OMG THE FOOD! I have... More

We are visiting from out of state and a friend of ours made sure that if we could only to one restaurant that we go here. It was amazing and worth a return trip to Michigan JUST to go HERE again! Yep, it was THAT impressive. The location was great and even had parking right next to the building (which... More

My waitress, Veronica, was the best. Her customer service was so excellent. However, next time I will ask not to sit by the kitchen. In 2011, I had a very bad experience with Soup Spoon and have not eaten there since. When I was asked to go to lunch, I said yes. I got some pretty nasty comments from people... More

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend. I was so impressed with the food, I brought my wife there the same night :) The service left something to be desired (in both cases I ended up with servers who seemed inexperienced) but the food made up for it.

I've tried to get into the parking lot before, but this time I took my mom there at 11. It was already very busy for lunch. The waitress was warm and friendly and at our table at least 6-7 times. We chose the Prima Vera– Vegetables Tossed w/ Linguine in a Pesto Cream Sauce and a sandwich that I forgot... More

Cafe Benny ( eggs benedict) was great- just the right amount of sauce. Baja Scramble is amazing! Flavors are perfect and it is just so satisfying. The sourdough bread is good and lattes are decent, but pricey at 4.50 for about 12 ounces. Apple Chicken Salad Melt for lunch is great, tarragon spice adds a nice touch. Good value for... More
