Once again we had a delightful dining experience at Troppos. The service was excellent, the menu varied, and the food well prepared. We come here from time to time, and have always enjoyed it. It is nice to have in downtown!

First of all, I've eaten and Troppo countless times. The food has gotten much better and haven't had bad food here in a couple years (the food used to be super, super salty). However, this review isn't about the food. Each time I eat here deep down I hope it will be better than last time. The common theme is... More

My husband and I stayed in Lansing for the week. After a 9 mile kayak down the river from River Town Adventures, we got dressed up & went to dinner. We were a lil worried because no one was in the restaurant & only a handful of people outside on balcony. Since we were visiting from out of town this... More

After a reception upstairs, we ended up downstairs in the restaurant for dinner. The wait staff was very attentive and didn't blink an eye when we said we wanted to share an entree, simply bringing us another plate (althought I would have preferred the kitchen plate it on two plates rather than having to do it myself). The portobello fingers... More

I surprised my husband with a lovely dinner out on the occasion of his promotion. Troppo was recommended to me as a nice non-chain restaurant suitable for such an occasion. Yes, it is nice. Yes, it looks classy. Yes, our large salads were good and satisfied us for our evening meal. However, we were seated at a narrow little booth... More

I have been to lansing a number of times on business and when the concierge recommended i go to Troppo, i had to see what she was raving about. I walked in and was greeted by a warming staff and atmosphere. I was blown away by how clean the outside as well as the inside was with how harsh of... More

I thoroughly enjoyed one of the best meals I've ever had at the restaurant Troppos. My steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare and the shrimp cocktail I enjoyed was one of the largest shrimps I have ever seen! Even though the restaurant was obviously busy, the service was attentive and engaging. My party of 12 was treated very well... More

Service great. As a huge brussel sprout fan, I was totally disappointed in the sprout hash. It was mostly sweet potatoes.

This happened quite sometime ago and I've been meaning to send a review. Three of us went for dinner on a Sunday evening. They were running a special discount for their restaurant specials. I ordered a pork chop. I specifically asked the waiter, "Can I SUBSTITUTE macaroni and cheese for the potatoes?". He responded in the affirmative. The other two... More
