Good Fresh food

Took us 30 minutes to get food after we ordered. They were very busy and did the best they could but I dont think the grill is big enough. Staff was very friendly but I would not wait if its busy.

Made my first visit last evening, and had a hard time choosing what to try. I had a chicken/artichoke/pasta dish (name escapes me) that was something I've never seen before and was so delicious! I will for sure return to Trout Town on my next trip to Kalkaska, to try the other menu items that tempted me.

The dish your talking of is called "Chicken Tosca". Breaded chicken on a bed of Pappardelle pasta with Artichoke hearts covered in a Garlic Lemon Cream sauce. This is 1 of my personal favorites. I'm so glad you liked it. Stop by again soon. Thank you. More

This is a great place to have dinner. Good prices and generous portions. I enjoyed my fried lake trout dinner. The fish was good and fresh. Highly recommend.

Great service and great food! First visit and its on our list to return! You pay more here than fast food but oh so much better! It's a small place just off the highway but look them up!

We have been several times now to Trout Town Country Cafe, and have always had great service. The food is amazing, from homemade soups and breads to excellent salads, sandwiches and meals. The best shrimp meal I have had in our area. We can wait to try their Friday night fish feast!

We loved Trout Town's breakfast so much, we returned two days in a row during our trip to Traverse City/Leelanau! Cherry french toast is a must!

This cute and tidy cafe has great food. The service was quick, helpful and NON-hovering. No room for dessert, but the salad & main course were wonderful. I was just passing thru and had seen this cafa listed on Trip Advisor. I will be back!

Great menu! Had a hard time deciding what to have for breakfast! Service was wonderful. Food was hot and delicious. Prices were great for the amount of food we received. I had the Mexican skillet and it kept tasting better bite after bite! The Chirizo they use was the very best. Pancakes had a sweet flavor. We will return for... More

The Chorizo skillet and our pancakes are 2 of my personal favorites. Glad you enjoyed them. May I also suggest our famous Trout & eggs or our sweet & tart Oat Bran Cherry French toast. Yum! More
