Very nice spot!

First time stopping, and I'll be back. The service was great, the specialty drinks were wonderful on a cold and blustery May evening. The food was presented nicely and tasted great.

A great find! It's tucked away off the Main Street of 131. Stopped in last weekend, great menu, very , very good bloody mary's! Had breakfast, trout and eggs for me and Lindsey, Tam had the birds nest! Go see for yourself, the staff treated us like friends. Since our cottage and boat are both nearby we will visit often!... Recommended by a local resident and it was delicious. The lunch menu was extensive with a wide variety. We had soup (French onion, vegetable beef barley) with Irish Reuben sandwich. The soup serving was ample and the sandwiches hot and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. Bathroom was clean

We were visiting from out of state and stopped here for lunch at the recommendation of a local resident. Great home-style food and a friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed burgers, BBQ selections, the fish sandwich and the "Smoked Trout Pate and Cheese Plank" (yummm!). The portions were generous and resonably priced. We enjoyed this place so much that after our first... More

Had a cottage there for 14 years. Trout Town was our "go to" place for breakfast and lunch. Always good, home cooked, yummy food. Wait staff was also always pleasant!

Maybe it was the location being next to some old buildings, but I wasn't expecting much. Man was I surprised. I had the cod and it was great. Beer is served in a frosted pint jar. I took a pulled pork sandwich home to my son and he was very happy. Staff was attentive, warm, and friendly. Very great family... More

Great decor and atmosphere. I had the cob salad a number of times and always get extra of the home made bleu cheese dressing. It's amazing. Large portions and friendly folks.

This restaurant is relativity small inside and can get crowded at peak times. Their food is yummy and fairly priced. They have trout and other fish selections they are famous for. They have excellent breakfasts and this is a favorite spot of mine to have breakfast at. A recent redesign has added a bar and some TV's. The inside decor... More

First of all, realize that this restaurant shows up in various online searches and rating websites with several names. Stick with 'Trout Town, Kolkaska Michigan' and the rest of the name (cafe, tavern, etc) won't matter. It's right downtown. We arrived after 1 pm for lunch and the parking lot was very full and the restaurant only had a few... More

It had been years since my husband and I ate here and the current restaurant/atmosphere and menu bears little resemblance to the original place. It is a cute little rustic type place, the menu offered good choices of sandwiches and dinners, waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. They were offering a special "Octoberfest" menu with German themed dishes so we... More
