This is very popular among older folks in the area. Lots of carbohydrates here, more fat than spice. It's not a bad place, but I can't imagine why one would choose it except for portion size and the choice of traditional dessert items.

We went for lunch. Sandwiches from $9.29 to $9.79. Nice meals from $10.29: Roast Turkey, Roast Beef, to Salmon at $12,99 with mashed potatoes, gravy (all you want, ask for a side), stuffing, veggie of the day, and hot out of the oven dinner rolls!, I had the California Club: roast turkey, tasty bacon, tomato, leaf lettuce, avacado, and guacamole.... It's been awhile since I ate at Rykses. My smoked salmon salad over spinach greens with strawberry, mandarin oranges and a perfect dressing, was refreshing and exactly what I was after. The wait staff was also excellent . . . But what's happening there? It used to be top-notch in every way, but now the booths are lumpy and uncomfortable,... More

Was convenient to our hotel and we stopped in twice for breakfast. Excellent baked goods and fast , friendly service. Good atmosphere and would gladly recommend this stop.

Unless you're over 60 and one of their regulars don't expect to be treated with any ounce of respect or urgency if you dine here. My friend and I have enjoyed the food for several years now but lately the service leaves much to be desired. The food is good but not so good that you should expect rude service... More

My husband and I came here for breakfast on a Friday and the food was very fresh and tasty. It is a popular place so we had to wait for a table at 10am but the staff is very pleasant. All of the desserts are very tempting looking.

These guys are a welcome change to restaurant chains in every city. I went with the pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes and cauliflower recommended by my server Jordan (female). The roast was simple, tender and broke apart with my fork. The herb in the potatoes was a wonderful twist and left me wanting the recipe. Cauliflower has never tasted... More

I planned a dinner for my company and the price that I was quoted did not match the final bill. This place has to many people trying to run the restaurant. They kept sending me back and forth to different people and not even to the one that quoted me the price. That person couldn't be located I would think... More

We stopped on a whim because we wanted something to eat that wasn't fast food and we had 4 tired kids that were hungry. We were pleasantly surprised by the interior (an in-house bakery and very nicely decorated). We (the grown-ups) had a hard time deciding what to pick. I ended up with a California club (turkey, bacon, avacado, Havarti,... More

Nothing compares to a rykes cinnamon roll or one of their pies. Infact I have yet to come across anything from the bakery that isn't to die for. The other food is average comfort food. Slow service and nothing out of the ordinary on the menu. If your going to eat do breakfast. That's hard to mess up.
