White table cloth, great Italian wine list, and inspiring menu all leads to a new favorite for special occasions. A little pricey for the area, but never disappointed by the food or service. Not too many places in Kalamazoo to get fresh black truffle shaved in front of your eyes on home made pasta!

From cooking classes to the chef's table, Zazio's offers a fun dining experience, Our party of four had a business dinner which we all enjoyed. The fish was excellent. They also offer gluten free and vegie menus, much appreciated by my colleagues. Service was friendly and professional without being overbearing. It is not inexpensive but worth it. Good beer and... Very good food but it is time to change the menu. The bar area is a great place to grab a quick meal at a high top table. If you have a desire for a special dining experience book front row seats at the chef's table. You cook and learn right along with the head chef.

Secure a reservation at the chef's table and you will be in for a treat. You will experience a five-course meal with an educational lesson with each course. There is a wine recommended for each course. Every month has a theme, so go back every month for another fantastic meal. My favorite was balsamic vinegar month.

My business partner and I had a great dinner at this upscale Italian restaurant in the swanky Raddison Plaza 5 Star hotel. It was a 75 degree Indian Summer day so we split a bottle of upper peninsula Michigan sparkling wine ($36) which we really enjoyed. They have option of appetizer sized or entre sized plates on menu. We decided... More

Until I ate at Zazio's, ordering scallops at a restaurant was always a disappointment, as they were inevitably overcooked, rubbery and often flavorless. The scallops at Z's are always cooked to perfection, and prepared with local, seasonal ingredients. We love to eat at the bar, where we've never had anything but outstanding and knowledgeable service, including both wine and food... More

We came here for to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and it was fabulous. The waiter was extremely helpful when selecting from their huge wine list and deciding between appetizers. I would definitely return to this restaurant and do the chef's experience if given the chance!

Was here with friends on blustery Friday night for cocktails and chow. Both were good - I had the whitefish - service great and prices fair. I'm told that the $5 martinis are the 'deal of life'. So there's that.

My wife and I really enjoy eating out here. The food is really good and the chefs table is a must try. The cost is rather expensive, so budgeting dinner on a weekly basis here is not practical but great for special occasions.

The atmosphere at Zazios offers an excellent first impression. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and immediately seated without a reservation at around 7pm on a Friday evening. When we arrived at the table, my wife and I settled into the soft cushions on the chair. By settled, I really mean sunk deep into the nearly bottomless chair! There... More

Kevin, thank you for the feedback. We are in the process of looking at options for new chairs and should have the chairs replaced early next year. I am pleased you enjoyed the Tomatoes and Burrata, it is a great summer dish. We will make sure to work on our Calamari to perfect it, If you choose to visit us... More
