Amazing food and service

Our first time at Food Dance did not disappoint. The food, the service, the drinks were all amazing. We had the special pasta dish which had wonderful favors. Focus here is on seasonal and locally sourced food - so in May there was a distinct asparagus theme. Good size portions of well-prepared and presented food and a lively ambience. Enjoyed first visit so much, returned a second time and wasn't disappointed. Well set up for large groups, but there are some more intimate spaces too.

Just tried this place on the recommendation of friends who know the area. My food was great and my friends' selections looked delicious as well. One comment (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars)...$9 for a glass of house wine? C'mon guys!

A few of us girlfriends took last minute road trip for unique restaurants, wineries & shopping. This was the beginning of our adventure! Found it on the foodie tour on michigan.org. Awesome breakfast with Bloody Mary & Pomegranate Mimosas & awesome service!!! Less than 2 blocks down the street is a nice wine tasting room Tempo Vino.

This is the second time I have been there and couldn't wait to take my sisters. We shared the Fondue Platter, drank wine, had a cup of soup and a great relaxing late afternoon. Finished it off with an amazing chocolate dessert (shared because we were too full to have more than a few bits) and a great cup of... More

5 of us were in town for business and this was recommended by the front desk at the hotel. It was fabulous!! Most ingredients are sourced locally and all are fresh. I had the risotto with salmon topped with greens and capers--a little salty but otherwise it was excellent. Every person in our party enjoyed their meal (steak, salmon, lamb,... More

My friend and I came to Kzoo for a conference and a representative of the hotel directed us to Food Dance Cafe. It was possible they would steer us to a mediocre spot but we were very pleased with the food and service for our dinner and cocktails... So much so that we returned the following day for breakfast. Both... More

Always a great experience here. This is the best breakfast place in Kalamazoo hands down! The fresh orange juice and scones are amazing!

Farm-to-table is its mantra, but doesn't make the grade when flavor and value are factored in. An Ann Arbor wannabe. I find many of their recipes odd and lacking flavor. I am always shocked to find a wait for a table, and don't understand why anyone would do so -- maybe first timers there? Bottom line: it's expensive, pretentious and... More

I like the idea of a breakfast-only menu on Sundays, unfortunately my husband didn't lol. Although it looked full from the entrance, we did not have to wait and was seated right away. The mimosas were delicious and my husband had latte which was good and tasty. I had quiche which was lovely. My husband had biscuits and gravy which... More
