For 20 years, Food Dance has been committed to building a thriving and sustainable local food system. We support artisans who practice craft food processes that have been around for generations-growing, raising, preserving, curing, aging, pickling, butchering and more. For Food Dance, it's about the connection with the people and places their food comes from-authentic people and authentic food that's true to its source. Serving breakfast, lunch or dinner-guests are served the freshest menu items in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. We offer private dining space for celebrations or larger groups as well as catering and delivery. We host cooking classes and special dinners throughout the year - aimed to introduce guests to new elements of the culinary and agricultural worlds. Our on-site market offers amazing ingredients sourced from their family of purveyors-from sustainable, humanely raised meats, sausages and artisan cheeses to fresh baked bread, pastries and savory baked goods.

Ultimate home fries

I was there on a early Saturday afternoon hoping to have the Tempeh sandwich on Rosemary bread- not on the menu anymore 😞 however, the ultimate home fries never disappoint and I walked away satisfied.

I have never had a bad meal here. It is a bit pricey but you have good menu variety and good quality healthy foods, so it is worth it.

I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and it's always good. I love the grilled cheese and the burger YUM A little more money for the meal but I still like to go here and I do enjoy the atmosphere. They also offer cooking and other various classes.

we love to stop here for breakfast because the choices include many that are very healthy and it always tastes great. We really like the local eggs and fresh pork sausage along with coffee from local brewers.

Food Dance is an unsual name for a restaurant but then this is a very unsual place to go for lunch or dinner. In the heart of downtown Kalamazoo, it sets in an old appliance store and occupies most of the first floor on the northeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Pitcher, it is easy to find and parking is... I went with a girlfriend and the atmosphere was very nice. Relaxing, but upbeat at the same time. The food was prepared well. We had dinner. The ingredients were fresh and local.

Food Dance has the best breakfast in Kalamazoo (my favorite dish, Pig in the Garden). Lunch and dinner are also very good. The atmosphere is eclectic but comfortable. The service has always been excellent. The only reason I would give Food Dance a 4.5 and not a 5, is that it is quite expensive. Breakfast for two, with coffee and... More

Bright flavors, local ingredients, diverse menu, top-notch craft brews, open fun decor, great service. The best of Kalamazoo. Only sad that we just had lunch. Next time we are in K-zoo, we will definitely try to grab breakfast and dinner at Food Dance.
