Not very good food, but fun atmosphere.

The food sounds like it is going to taste great! Fried portabello mushrooms, butternut squash soup, etc. But I think it is being cooked by culinary school dropouts. At least half of the food I have ordered there has been inedible. I am not that picky. I mean I like cold cut combos at Subway, I... read more

Was a little hesitant as they seem to be the perfect place, and advertise too, the college age group. We were quite pleased with our visit. Our server, Megan, was lovely. As a ex-server myself I have pretty high expectations when dining out and she was on top of her game. Never made us feel like it was a chore... More

We went to The Union to take advantage of Kalamazoo Restaurant Week. Well, special didn't start for lunch on Monday, but for dinner that evening and all noon hours Tuesday-Friday. That didn't spoil things at all. We selected an appetizer of rib tips, excellent choice! They were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of char. Six flavorful sauces come... More

Had a drink at the bar during the chili cook off. Even thought they were packed with a mostly non-customers, the staff did a great job. I had the bacon Bloody Mary. Great Bloody Mary with a slice of high quality bacon.

great place for a quick lunch. Lots of good beers to chose from and always good service. I really like the burgers too, especially the loaded southern burger. But absolutely order the portabella fries.

This is certainly one of the better Milliennium Restaurants. Interesting and tasty menu. The serive is very nice. Smiles and helpful staff was there on all levels. The grilled apple salad was a hit. Also really liked the blackened chicken pasta. Burgers were also good.

we had a great lunch at the union and it was filled with locals. The sandwiches were very good and the staff was very friendly.

Being a University town, this restaurant is loaded with college youth quite a bit. Live Music is sometimes very "interesting," but, for the most part, enjoyable. Food is average, but the price is acceptable. Because it is quite crowded much of the time, service can be slow. Still, it is worth visiting.

I've only had lunch and chose the pulled pork each time. I liked that they did not put any sauce on it and gave me a choice of six with varying levels of heat. I just found it to be a little expensive; $24 for two sandwiches, a diet pop and a three dollar pint from a local microbrewery which... More

The Union seems very popular and I wish them the best. I'm sure they are worthy of a five-star review. I'm not a hater, but I'm posting because there are people like me everywhere who may want to see live music, but are not into the piano-bar-audience-participation when they're going out. At my visit, there was a guitarist and what... More
