If it wasn't for being sick all the next day I would have given a 5 rating. The wait staff was very nice, polite and and made me feel very welcome. The main course was delicious but the wonton soup that I got with the meal had the center of the wonton where cold almost frozen. I'm not the kind... More

I visit Kalamazoo a couple of times a year. Hunan Gardens is always on my list of places to eat when I am there. Whether dining in, picking up take-out or calling for delivery to my hotel/motel, the food is consistently well prepared, portions are generous, taste is fabulous. Prices are remarkably low for such a wonderful array of special... More

We had dinner with friends at this Chinese Restaurant and were very impressed with the friendly and cordial reception, the fast efficient service and the food quality. The portions were huge and the flavors inviting. There was a vast selection of entre's and the menu was broken down into categories, such as pork, beef, etc,. making it easy to navigate... More

We stopped in here half expecting the standard "bagged" Chinese food and were pleasantly surprised. Great menu and very authentic taste, not at all what other "Chinese" restaurants serve. We had great service even though they were quite busy. The menu offered a good variety of tastes and nothing was too pricey. We had a seafood delight, chicken with garlic... More

We always enjoy eating here and are always torn between having what we have had in the past that we love, or trying something new and different. Good food, good prices!!

I've been to so many other Chinese restaurants in town, and they always taste like they used canned broth and canned meat. This food is high quality and one of our favorite places to eat. The kung pao chicken and double cooked pork are my favorites, but my kids love the beef lo mein and veggie fried rice. We usually... More

Pretty much your average Chinese food with no hiccups. Chicken quality could be improved, but overall good food.

We've been to Hunan Gardens many times (as well as its partner restaurant on Q Ave in Texas Township). The food is mostly standard Chinese restaurant fare, but definitely better quality than you will find at most places. The ingredients are fresher, often using local and seasonal ingredients. For example, last night our Empress Chicken dish had great helpings of... More

Every time we come to the area we have to dine here! They don't mind changes and are always pleasant. My husband enjoys their moo goo better than any restaurant located in Indianapolis.
