The Kalamazoo Beer Exchange is a two-story multi-tap bar and grill located in the beautifully restored Globe Building in downtown Kalamazoo. Offering 28 rotating draught beers from around the world, The Exchange begins at 6 p.M., Where draught beers are based on real-time sales, like the stock market. Occasional "market crashes" will occur daily, dropping beer prices to their all-time low. The Kalamazoo Beer Exchange also offers a menu of interestingly prepared classic pub fare. Classic dishes will be made new again from the Bar Plates to the Main Fare and the open kitchen design will allow you to see just how "hand-made" the food really is.

Fun for a couple of hours, don't expect to sit down unless you get there early

This place is amazing for beer lovers (or Wall Street enthusiasts)--awesome brews, good food, and the way they do specials is brilliant. I probably bought more beer than I normally would have...which is kind of the name of the game. Don't expect to be able to sit unless you get there early--it... read more

very good beer, we heard the food was good but it was an hour wait for food you had to go pick up at a window so we skipped it. No table service, had to go to the bar to get drinks. long lines

We sat downstairs at the communal bar table. Drinks were great and cheap to begin with. Once the exchange started we were not disappointed. Prices were awesome and 1 hour in the market crashed! We are dinner as well. Was good pub food. Enjoyable experience!

not sure why other restaurants and bars haven't tried this. What a great idea, beer prices going up and down, fun! Food was great also, salmon dip, fish and chips, burgers- yum! This is a place I'll definitely go back to. Thanks to trip advisor for great reviews and WMU aviation people for extra recommendation.

My husband and I recently had drinks and dinner at the KBE. We were very impressed. Being from Grand Rapids, we have ample eating establishments to choose from but we had to check this place out. We had heard great things. The staff and management are very attentive and well mannered and the food was very good! The ambience is... More

The beer exchange has a great local selection of craft beers! Their food was very good as well. Saturday night was very busy but the atmosphere was great. The beer exchange starts at 6 and all the beers fluctuated prices depending on sales every 15 minutes. Very cool!

We walked over here from Bell's Eccentric cafe when it was becoming obvious that getting a table to eat lunch was not going to happen anytime soon. We are so glad we did...still REALLY great beer selection and legit burgers. We highly recommend! Really nice 2 floors worth of bar/restaurant and game (pool/darts/pinball) tables. Looks like the second opens up... More

The prices move like a stock market. You see beers you normally shy away from, but the price has just dropped low enough to make it impossible to pass up. Occasionally, there's even a crash and ALL the prices drop and you are compelled to try something new. If you like beer, and fun this is the place to be.... More

Food is basic bar food, but is fun to watch the prices of the beers rise and fall, great place to watch local sports teams and it is wild when there is a market crash.
