The Kalamazoo Beer Exchange is a two-story multi-tap bar and grill located in the beautifully restored Globe Building in downtown Kalamazoo. Offering 28 rotating draught beers from around the world, The Exchange begins at 6 p.M., Where draught beers are based on real-time sales, like the stock market. Occasional "market crashes" will occur daily, dropping beer prices to their all-time low. The Kalamazoo Beer Exchange also offers a menu of interestingly prepared classic pub fare. Classic dishes will be made new again from the Bar Plates to the Main Fare and the open kitchen design will allow you to see just how "hand-made" the food really is.

Was in Kalamazoo for business and love craft beer. Hotel desk thought I'd like the Exchange and they were right. The theme is based on the stock exchange - there are 15 minute "trading periods" and the beer prices change each period. And periodically the "beer market" CRASHES and all the prices drop! And it turns into a feeding frenzy... More

Place has a lot of beers but very few on tap. The wait staff was friendly but seemed to lack the knowledge about their beer. Prices were kind of high but that's to be expected in a city. Food was decent. Def worth a trip to stop in. But if you have to choose go to Bells first.

My husband and I were here for dinner on a Friday night. We waited 30 minutes for a table which was not a surprise. The place was LOUD, the food was excellent, and if you wait long enough the beer prices will drop on the exchange board. We were able to try a few beers at low prices as a... More

Great beer, good food & novel pricing on drinks. Spacious seating with friendly service. Great fried pickles!

If you're visiting Kalamazoo, it's worth a stop here. However, don't be prepared to be blown away by the food. It's alright, but not wonderful. I often find myself just a little disappointed. If you're coming just for the bar, know that it gets crowded and uncomfortable in the lower bar area, with awkward and very limited seating. It's better... More

We were here for drinks and I'm not a beer drinker, but I still enjoyed "the exchange". The concept of having the price of beers change with demand is genius and very entertaining. They have a great atmosphere and service was top notch.

The fish and chips were great! The beer selection and being able to play the "beer" market to get beers cheaper is alot of fun. Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Will be back for sure!

This place is amazing for beer lovers (or Wall Street enthusiasts)--awesome brews, good food, and the way they do specials is brilliant. I probably bought more beer than I normally would have...which is kind of the name of the game. Don't expect to be able to sit unless you get there early--it fills up quickly, and even if you sit,... very good beer, we heard the food was good but it was an hour wait for food you had to go pick up at a window so we skipped it. No table service, had to go to the bar to get drinks. long lines
