Nice atmosphere, fun tapas place. Responsive waitstaff. A bit pricey, but not too bad. Will definitely be back.
One of my favorite places to eat in downtown. Unique dishes like rabbit and rattlesnake sausage, variety of perfectly prepared fish such as mahi and ahi tuna, and a great selection of wines as well as house made sangria. Usually busy on the weekends so come early or get a reservation but there's often a spot at the bar to... More
The best restaurant in Kalamazoo by a wide margin. Strong martinis and great tapas dishes. Restaurant is small and popular but when you get a seat you're in for a treat!
Very rare revisit to a restaurant twice in one week - however after describing our tapas meal to colleagues - everyone else wanted to give this one a try. Easy to manage tapas menu - with enough diversity to satisfy any palate - our table was shared with pure carnivores and a vegan - everyone left happy. Wide range of... More
This is a place that I always take visitors from out of town. The tapas are quite flavorful. I know many Spaniards claim that the tapas are not authentic, but that's good. Frankly the food at Fandango has much more spice than typical Spanish tapas, and to my taste as least, is much better.
We love tapas, and choose that type of "small plate" dining when we can. We found the tapas here to be generous in size and extremely tasty. We are already thinking of what else to try when we go back. The server was very friendly and explained the menu well. All in all, a fun date night experience!
I am from Spain and the name of the restaurant atracted my attention. The menu has names from cities like Barcelona or Valencia but I didn't see any typical dish from Spain and there was no tapas at all (I wonder if they know what a tapa looks like). I had a dish of empanadas and ir was terrible. The... More
The four of us stopped in right after work for a quick drink and appetizer to share. Upscale tapas on the corner of the Kzo Mall and South St. Great people watching. Love the tapas concept - just keep ordering food until everyone is full! The service was very professional, quick and efficient. The artichoke dip was mostly artichoke, not... More
The food at Fandangos is pretty good...when there not out for the night. The last two times we went, nearly everything we wanted to order was unavailable. The second time they were literally out of 6 or 7 items. It was sorta comical but sorta not. Both visits were on Saturday night around 7-8 o'clock . To run out of... More
Downtown Kalamazoo location. Great food and a good place to linger with friends over a drink. Other shops and eateries and the State Theatre nearby to make an evening of it.
