Can't go wrong at one of Michigan's oldest microbewing innovators

I went to Bell's last Saturday on the first leg of our friends' 24th wedding anniversary Pub Crawl. We had 22 people and by some blessing of the beer gods, found open seating for all of us, upstairs, at about 6 pm. Service was great even though we had a large party and we always had exactly what we... read more

Can't go wrong with a Bell's beer. My favorite is the Two-Hearted, but Oberon, Lager, and many more than I can think of now are great. Staff was really cool and laid-back, but not slow. There was a wait when we got there, but I got a text that my table was ready before I was half-way done with my... More

I've wanted to come to Bell's for some time, and we were happy to be seated on the patio (fenced, with umbrellas and greenery, nice atmosphere) on a sunny summer evening. Friendly service, great beer (as you'd expect from Bell's!), some of which you can only get on site, according to the menu. The menu was limited and I thought... More

Took the tour of the original brewery, not recommended - tour the MAIN brewery in Comstock. The Eccentric Cafe' was nice, we just had some beers and moved on to our next stop but it was clean, airy, and well-appointed. Nice experience.

Bell's beer is AWESOME. The food at the cafe was less than decent. The charcuterie dish was poorly done; 2 of the 3 cheeses were soft and the meat choices were unimpressive. Honey, almonds and the Manchego cheese were the best things on the board. For $25 you need a decent salami and another full flavor textured cheese. The French... More

Drove over from Chicago and was not disappointed. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Got a tour of the attached brewery and learned the history of the brewery and lots of information about the beers being poured.

Bells' use to be awesome when I use to go into it years ago. Now that they have waiters and have extended, it's a different story. It use to be most of the eccentric people would go in and have a few cold ones and listen to the music. They still have great musicians, but it's just not the same... More

First off...I'm an avid fan of Bell's beer. Oberon, Two Hearted, Best Brown...all of them, and I'll continue to drink them. The new renovation is fantastic! Beautifully done. The food? Way overpriced, OK but not spectacular pub food. 2 burgers and 20 ounce beers with a tip will run you close to $45. That's way out of my league. $14.00... More

The beer was good but the food was different in a weird way. I did not enjoy the poutine. I am not sure what the flavors were but I am used to it having a brown beef gravy not grey.

One of the world's pubs, a favorite of many! They have great spirits and entertainment. Within walking distance of other breweries. Their ale is highly sought after. Oberan is a seasonal beverage.
