If you haven't tried the lunch buffet, you haven't lived

No, really. It's VERY good, and changes daily. After some of the hotter dishes, cool off with a fruit drink, salad, or rice pudding. But try everything, and pay attention to the labels. This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Really great Indian food, some of the best anywhere in the US.

We took our son here for his birthday dinner this past Saturday. The service was exceptional. The food was terrific. It wasn't very busy when we first arrived but they began to fill up quickly, which tells me a lot of people enjoy eating here.

Went there for lunch and happy I came in exactly at noon to get a table because by 12:15 p.m. The place was packed! The buffet offers a wide variety of Indian foods and all of them were delicious. Food was fresh, hot and plentiful. Will go back for dinner as the Chicken Tika Marsala was excellent! You can tell... More

I went there today for the first time in years, because I have too many little kids that I rarely can get away from for lunch. But today was my lucky day and Saffron was as delicious as ever. I ate so much that I havent even eaten dinner tonight. The naan is so good. And the cheese/pea dish is... More

If you are in the Kalamazoo area, you have to go to Saffron. The best time is to go during lunch when they have the buffet. All of the food is intense and very favorable. A lot of people I know like to go here a lot and it fills up fast. We always try and get there right when... More

Great Indian food. I was impressed. The food portions are a bit small, but they are very delicious. The service was great. I would definitely try it. They have a lot of food choices.. so there will be something for everybody.

It is a small restaurant with 6-7 boths and about a dozen tables. The food is authentic, but unlike some others, it is mainly NOT overspiced. The lunch buffett is wonderful: tandoori chicken, basmati rice, and saffron rice. It includes a variety of other dishes: Spinach with chickpeas, lamb stew, wonderful Nam, Homemade yogurt and fruit salad. It is a... More

My husband and I and a friend tried Indian food. We loved the vegetables! My husband had a vegatian entree and the sauce was absolutely great, we also all put in on the rice. I really like the naan. But although the food was good, I have decided that I am not a great fan of this type of food.

Food was quite good though not exceptional by any means, but was of a good quality. The salad was a great appetizer to start with, and also the samosas. The breads (naans) were really good. The meat curries were more value for money and also more tasty than the veggie curries. Didn't try the desserts but the lassi was excellent.... More
