Food was faultless - decent-sized portions, flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Delicious desserts, too, especially the creme brulee served with shortbread and raspberries. A lovely family meal, only downside was a musty dog smell... and one of our party needed to reach for the antihistamines... but as it's a country pub it is part and parcel of the setting. Set... 1 night stay with a good evening meal. Room was clean and comfy, the stairs need care especially if you sample more than the odd tipple. A good base to explore the South Lakes and we Wii be back, sometime.

We have often come to this restaurant in the past but it had Ben a few months since our last visit. He food was god as usual. The service was very pleasant . We had a good evening enjoying the tmosphere of the bar and the dining area.

We walked to the Inn about mid point of a planned walk on a glorious summers day in the midst of some beautiful countryside however we left disappointed. It was around 16.30 and it was quiet inside, we ordered two pints of beer ( £7 ) the beer when we finally got it was excellent, however my pint needed topping... More

Four of us stayed here for 1 night as we were at a near by wedding. We arrived at 11.30am so well before check in but we only had to wait 15mins before both rooms were ready. The girl behind the bar kindly let us check in and orderd us a taxi to take us to the wedding. After getting... More

We had been to The White Hart Inn previously but had not liked the table in the bar. This time we were in the dining room, which was much better. This is a pub in Bouth, a Cumbrian village and is well frequented. I had the confit duck leg as a starter. It was quite sizeable and was well cooked... More

We stayed here for two nights whilst exploring the region and were very pleased with our experience. The room was at the top of the inn and had skylight windows and a sloping ceiling. Although you had to mind your head on the beams this was not really a problem as the room was very comfortable, clean and well finished.... More

A really beautiful setting and a great pub with good ales. We went on a hot Saturday evening and thankfully we got there early. The tables inside were all booked up, but it was a lovely sunny evening so we sat outside looking onto a nice view. I was expecting pub fare, but found the food to be much better... More

We stayed at the White Hart Inn for one night during a cycle tour of the Lakes. The staff were incredibly friendly and were very happy to put our bikes in the cellar overnight for security. We were made to feel extremely welcome - we had left it too late to order dinner, however the bar staff put together some... More

We went on a tuesday and good job we booked because the place was full. The service and food was excellent although we had to wait a little while. However a glass of decent wine and a bit of chat soon passed the time. All in all good value for money.
