Great atmosphere, great meals, something out of the ordinary for the UP. Right on main street Houghton. Hats on the walls if you want to put them on and wear them while eating and drinking tea. Many many types of tea.

It's right in the middle of downtown Houghton and boasts an extremely high quality and long list of teas. They also have sandwich platters and soups that are quite good. Highly recommended place to relax in the afternoons on a Friday or Saturday. But do check as their hours are seasonal!

My friend and I only came in for tea but stayed for a lovely lunch. The food was interesting, and very tasty. I recommend getting the Tea lunch for two. While we were there a lady played a harp in the lobby.

An amazing tea menu and a tasty menu of elegant but substantial sandwiches, salads and quiche. You can even wear one of the fancy hats on the wall if you'd like to add a queenly touch to your brunch or lunch. Music on Thursday afternoons with the amazing jazzist Mike Irish. Very affordable and fun for groups. Open 'til late... More

This place can get you tea in about any flavor you would want and whatever they have in regular flavors they also have in decaf for those restricted in what they can drink. The service is great and it does not take a long time for your food. You can get either a team (complete with layered tray and sandwiches... More

This is one of my favorite lunch spots, the tea is incredible, with a wide variety of options. I always get the Lady Ethel with either the salad of the day or quiche and it comes with soup as well. I have never had a bad experience with the food, service, or otherwise, and I love that you can keep... More

Where to go to lunch to catch up with a friend? This is THE place. Cozy, tasty, charming. Lots of teas to choose from. You can go economical or splurge for a full tea. They wrap up any leftovers in such creative ways! Don't forget to peruse their little gift area at the front. It's got a great selection. Check... More

In an area of tough crusts, overcooked vegetables and old iceberg lettuce, Four Seasons Tea Room will renew your faith in Houghton dining. The menu is varied and reasonably priced and the fare reminded me of some of the lovliest teas I've had in England. Bring your daughters and girlfriends here and revisit an earlier time when there was more... More

A group of us had the tea room for a private meeting, and I was very impressed. The decor was like stepping back in time to the Victorian period, and you are encouraged to dress the part by wearing one of the many period hats hanging on the walls. The tables are set with fine china tea sets and they... More
