We had read a little bit about this place and were pretty excited to find ourselves close by. We rode into the area on snowmobiles, really worked to get to here, and we were disappointed. The building is very cool, there is lots of art and such going on. The people were not friendly, the beer is less than average.... More

As others have said, KBC is NOT a restaurant, and serves only their own beers. However, being able to bring in a pizza from the place next door (a symbiotic relationship if there ever was one) is a nice benefit. I've had KBC beers before, as their product is widely distributed where I live. So the ability to try some... More

Not sure why KBC is listed under restaurants, it's a brewery and the biggest food item is a basket of peanuts. You can get good food there, however. Order a pizza from Pizza Works, next door and have them deliver. The beer is good and value priced. They have six regular brews and usually two or three seasonal specialties. Pints... More

for a good brewery, but alas. I am a fan of their "Widow Maker", but after trying the rest, that's it. They all just seemed watered down. Dense it down, and they could be flavorful. I do hafta say, they are very reasonable in price. Like the Library, pints are around $3 and a growler fill $7.50. A sampler of... More

As other reviewers have pointed out.....this is a microbrewery only, no food is served here. But, yes, they do serve beer...and very good beer at that! KBC (as it seems to be affectionately known) was a great microbrewery in the heart of downtown Houghton. They had a wide selection of beer on tap, with ample bar and table seating. And,... More

We stopped here thinking that we would have lunch because it was highly rated, only to find out that they don't serve food. It's a brewery and bar only. We picked up the Widowmaker beer for a friend instead and left.

Don't come here if you're looking for Bud light or worse Natty light. You won't find it. Come here if you're looking for good quality craft beer at an amazing price. I did a sampler and tried 5 of the best beers I've had in a long time.

Authentic local atmoshpere was fun, beer was good and several local to choose from. No food available but noticed several people had ordered pizza from close by and they delivered it right to them in the bar.

There were limited selections of beer and the ones we tried were not as good as other breweries we have tried. People were not real friendly. We did not eat there so can not comment on their food offerings.
