Lots of choices to please your palette. Any order can be modified from the standard offering. We got ours to go and ate outside in a different seating area. My wife went back after we were done eating and they topped off her drink for free.

We stopped here for lunch. Menu had various selections. Did not care for the electronic confirmation of credit charge which suggests you leave a 15% tip. I don't think counter service warrants a tip & was put off by this. I actually had to click several screens to refuse this. Sandwiches were fair.

Thank you so much for your recent visit! I apologize that our customer service personnel did not point out the "No Tip" option on the credit card transaction screen. This should have been the only screen that indicates tipping options, and is then followed by a signature for the transaction and a receipt option. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience... More

Stopped in for sandwiches at City Deli a few weeks ago. The ingredients were all good quality and the bread was nice. But, their sandwich combinations were unnecessarily complicated. I like an adventurous sandwich as much as the next person, but some of these sandwiches wouldn't seem to make a good match taste wise. Also, I ordered 4, as I... More

My wife, her Aunt and my kids (7 and 9 years old) go to a place called The City Delicatessen on 8th St. in downtown Holland, MI. It's a simple sandwich shop that seems to be pretty over priced compared to Subs-N More across the street. After my family finishes their food my kids wanted some soft serve yogurt. It's... More

Can't call this a Deli. The soup was tasteless and I could make a better sandwich at home. You get chips with your sandwich, except we must have gotten the bottom of the bag because it was all crushed yet was still served to us. I also laugh at the naming of a sandwich "Newark", really? With all the other... More

My 7 year-old son and I were in Holland, scouting locations to sell our handmade products, when the need to use the bathroom AND have lunch became paramount. Let me get the boring part out-of-the-way first: our meal. I ordered the BLT sandwich and tomato soup. The sandwich was fine. Not bad. Actually, the bread was nicely toasted, and it... More

City Deli has every kind of sandwich you could ever want. They have tons of choices of hot and cold sandwiches, different breads and toppings. My favorite is the Sacramento which is turkey and ham on ciabotta bread. They have different kinds of frozen yogurt, including peanut butter and the watermelon is amazing! Prices are decent considering the quality of... More

The food is wonderful and the frozen yogurt bar is a must try! The best I have had. Girls, be sure and check out the bathroom! Heated toilet seat and automatic lid opens/closes and other bells and whistles!

Worth visit one time , my kids loved the Indian flatbread cheese pizza but I felt they were little expensive. Sandwiches were okay, soup needed little salt for me and was not hot enough as a soup should be. Give it a try if you are a meet lover for all the 40 choices of sandwiches

We travel to Holland every year and we think we have found our favorite lunch spot. The selection is close to being overwhelming! The folks behind the counter are very friendly and patient as you order and bring your meal right to your table. The bread was fresh, nicely made and served with salt and pepper chips. Parking is at... More
