A terrific place for a real home feel meal. The pie crust was perfect, the hot dog was grilled to perfection, and the chili warms the soul.

We'd never heard of Cranes until we happened upon them in downtown Holland. What a treat! Delicious cherry pie. Yummy apple cider donuts (dont miss them, they are totally different from most donunts). fantastic apple cider, and the best apple butter I've had in ages. The young lady at the counter was such a gracious hostess and made great recommendations... More

Menu is very large. Probably something for everyone. Do have a piece of pie while there or my choice, the apple dumpling.

We stopped for lunch at Crane's in the City and found the menu perfect for a cool fall day. There were 3 homemade soup offerings. Our choice of ham and bean was savory with a nice flavor, chunks of ham and rich broth; the veggie beef looked equally good. The sandwich menu is appealing and one, the Cristo, sounded unusual... This eatery was small in size but large in the quality of food. Our salads were great and the pie was delicious. A definite stop for lunch.

After all of the positive reviews, I was expecting a great experience here; unfortunately, we left very disappointed. After reviewing the extensive menu, I asked for the sugar-free apple pie. The server went in back to check: no, they were out. Okay, what about sugar-free cherry? Same thing--out of that as well. If you don't have something, why is it... More

do i have to say more? Cranes have taken their award winning outstanding cider and made a slush. me and my girls are hooked. the only downside as with most slushes is that the liquid is gone too quick and have flavored ice left. one daughter likes this and grabs a spoon, then other and me get a glass of... When I am on vacation I don't want a big meal every night, but I do want good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Crane's in the City is a place we go to when we are in Holland, MI. I had the City Christo. My wife had a salad and we shared cherry crip ala mode. Enjoyed an outside table... More

Love the City Cristo sandwich and the chicken noodle soup. Nice quaint place on the main downtown drive of Holland. Good looking pies for later too.
