Best view in Holland for dining

Boatwerks has an amazing view right on Lake Macatawa. Huge windows allow you to see much of the lake. We watched the fog roll in from Lake Michigan and eventually engulf the entire restaurant during our last visit. There are not many restaurants that we have frequented over the years that match the service, the food, and the fun of the Boatwerks. Easter Sunday was no exception as Karen, my wife, and her 98 year old Mom made Boatwerks our buffet eatery for the second year in a row. Assistant General Manager Monica Groover made sure in advance... More

We've been going to Boatwerks for years. Food is always great! Wine and drinks list is pretty good! The deck outside is the place to be! I just wish the boat docking system had an attendant. We came by boat last year but couldn't enjoy the restaurant because a few boaters didn't know how to dock and tie up their... More

We visited the restaurant today with a coupon that said good from January 1 to March 31. It did not have a year, so we asked if it could be accepted. The female manager on duty explained it was a 2014 coupon and that their technology dept. forgot to put a year. She is right, but her tone is one... More

We were not extremely hungry but were in the mood for some fish and a beverage. Just the two of us on a Friday evening and so we were able to grab a table in the bar. We split a fish sandwich and fries which we could have purchased at a Burger King, but BK doesn't serve alcohol. Our server... More

I have been going here for several years and have never been disappointed in the food or drinks. Service has been excellent at time and poor at others - just depends on when you go as they hire a lot of college students so turnover can be high. When we went this past summer we had to split into 2... More

Boatwerks has always been one of the go to places while in Holland. The summer experience has always been good and on a sunny weekend you might struggle to get a table. The lucky ones park their boats by the dock and get a table outside to enjoy the summer weather. The winter experience is a completely different experience! The... More

We splurged for a night out. Menu is small but a great mix of food offerings on it. I ordered a turkey sandwich - one of the cheaper things on the menu, it was good, nothing outstanding. My mom ordered the farmhouse chicken off the senior menu - we've never seen chicken this way before - that was a bad... More

Never been impressed with the food here. Had the fish and chips last time (Sept14 I think) Probably ate there 6 times in the past 2 yearsd. In my opinion there are many places that have better food and service. I guess the view doesn't do anything for me since we live on the water, so I guess it's relative.... More
