This restaurant is on the shore of the lake, and the view is beautiful. We ate there on an August evening and the weather was lovely. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was good, burgers, salads etc and all four of us were pleased. Go for the view, enjoy the meal.

My wife and I have dined at Boatwerks a number of times during visits to Holland made over the last several years. It seemed to us that the place had deteriorated progressively over the years to the point that this year it was somewhere between average and below average. Reservations were fine, and we were seated immediately upon our arrival,... More

Boatwerks has the best outdoor seating in all of West Michigan, which is saying something because their indoor seating isn't at all shabby. It was a 2-person business lunch on a sunny, September day right at noon. The service was VERY PROMPT, the food was served excellently. I had the perch sandwich, my guest had the thai salad. I could... More

We arrived in Holland late the Monday evening of Labor Day after a long day of driving. The hotel receptionist recommended that we go to Boatwerks after the days grind. We would enjoy it. She was exactly right. We would have loved to sit out on the ample deck with a beautiful view of Macatawa Lake but the evening wind... More

We met a high school friend while dropping off our daughter at Hope College. We enjoyed outdoor dining with a beautiful sunset, delicious food and brew along with a singer at the keyboard.

One of the greatest locations in town for happy hour drinks. Great atmosphere, can't beat the setting in the summer. Sit in the bar area at the right time and they have got some great happy hour specials. A wide selection of drinks and a decent variety on the food menu. A "summer must" for me and my spouse.

My partner and I had an impromptu lunch here after driving by and wanting to dine on the water. The service was good and the food was good. However the amount of food you get for the dollar is overrated! And the water view is not that great anyway.

It looks nice: on the water, big place and handsome patrons. However the wait staff was disorganized, m-i-a and overwhelmed. The shrimp tacos and flank steak were beautifully described but came out very under cooked and greasy. The waitress nor any other staff came by for 10 minutes so sending them back was not happening. Another couple left while waiting to... More

Lucky for this restaurant it is on the lake with a great view. Other than that, it is just average. Now that they raised their prices pretty significantly, it is a higher priced restaurant with average food and a good view.

We eat at Boatwerks regularly, but it is especially appealing in the summer, when outdoor tables allow for a pleasing view of Lake Macatawa. The food is just fine and has even improved in diversity over the past couple of years, and the service is good with reasonable prices, but the real reason to come is the views of the... More
