Hot rocks for all!

We stopped in here on a whim, after hearing about the hot rocks concept from friends. Glad we did. The staff was friendly and explained what to expect so we'd enjoy our meals to the max. I know, it's simple, but it was fun, new way for us to dine out. Can't say enough about the steak. It was... read more

The hot stone cooking is fun. You control how done your steak is. The sides are tasty. Not too expensive. A nice evening out dinner experience. Crowded on weekends. May have to wait over an hour for seating.

First time visit for our anniversary dinner. Ordered the Taste of Black Rock. Steak comes out raw on a 755 degree stone. Slice off a portion, cook for 10 seconds each side, let the casino butter drizzle and melt with the steak and enjoy! The Black Rock sauce was a little salty for my tastes. The Wedge Salad and Spinach... More

This is a restaurant in a strip mall in Hartland, MI. When we arrived the parking lot was full of cars, but when we went in we were able to be seated immediately in spite of it being very crowded. It is unique in that when you order a steak, it comes out raw and you cook it yourself in... More

The food was pretty good, although it is exceptionally smoky and smoky smelling in the restaurant. The steak and tuna were very good, the rest of the food was pretty good, though pretty pricey.

Had dinner with 3 friends a couple of week's ago. All dinners that were "kitchen prepared" turned out very well but the steaks cooking on a hot stone table side were disappointing. The stone resulted in inconsistently cooked product. The table next to us cooked tuna on their stone which resulted in a very unpleasant and lingering odor from their... More

Awesome! Fun atmosphere, great food, excellent service. Be careful of the hot stone, but what a fun way to make your meal, the appetizers were great and it was fun for everyone to “cook” on a stone even if they didn’t order their meal on one. The pretzel with cheese fondue and the sausage and peppers are great. I had... More

We were a little hesitant coming to this restaurant... We have to cook our own meat??? This restaurant is definitely in my top 5 to visit now! We both ordered the Kobe Beef... talk about melt in your mouth! Our friends ordered the sirloin which was great also (but not as good). And don't worry, if you are busy chit... More

We have been here many times. Since they opened another location things have changed. Steak has gotten smaller,. And they will only take one coupon per table even when there are separate parties.

Our first experience with Black Rock was at the Hartland location and it was excellent. Service was top notch and the food was perfect just as we ordered it. Then we went to Novi and had a terrible experience, the waiter was rude and two of four orders were wrong leaving two people eating for 20 minutes while the other... More
