Went back again, had family in town craving a filet. Made a reservation for 6:30PM. we arrived at about 6:10PM and sat at the bar and ordered drinks prior to dinner from bartender named Cory. He got us the drinks, left the tab and made only one comment: "make sure you pay this bar tab before you go to your... More

I stopped because I saw billboard on highway. I like to try different local places and appreciate good food. I had their Chicken with cherries and pecans ($16). It came with a choice of a few things, and I selected ham and bean soup. It had a clear broth and lots of celery. Both the soup and the chicken had... More

Went here on a recommendation and was very disappointed. Service was bad and food was not very good. I guess you are paying for the experience and not great food.

If you cooking your steak on a rock appeals to you and you can cook it to 140 thoroughly, this is the place. It is the first time I've heard of it. Interesting concept. NOTE: you will smell by the time you leave, whether you had the steak or not. I noticed the people at the next table complaning the... More

Novel idea. You cook your own steak on a volcanic stone that comes to the table at over 700 degrees F. Your steak never gets cold and is done exactly as you like. Sides can also be reheated on the stone. We had six different sides between the four of us. Because you cook your own steak, dinner lasts a... More

I've been to every major steakhouse in the USA. The filet here was top 5 for sure. Had the Kobe beef Filet, 2 scallops and sides of green beans and wedge salad. The only reason it is not 5 stars after my 3rd trip here is the service and seemingly cheap attitude of the owners. My first time was Mother's... More

Varied menu, but specialty is steak and seafood you literally cook at your table on a stone slab. Fun especially with a crowd. Could use a few finishing touches. Steak was thin and fatty, but when they replaced it the new one was perfect. Kobe steak was fabulous. Green beans and potatoes good, but salad like out of a bag.... More

Loved the steak & scallops! The signature black rock steak comes with three sides, tons of food for $16.99. Make reservations always busy. Like that they have coupons!

My first thought was why would I want to cook my own steak when I pay the restaurant to do it but if you are a "grill guy" like me you will enjoy the experience. No clutter, easy to cook the steak and fun....family all loved it too and we went back a few weeks later. A bit pricey when... More

The evening was indeed enjoyable. The twist, of course, was cooking your own food on a black rock. The food order at our table tested the menu (three different cuts of steak as well as lobster) I highly recommend the Kobe beef filet. The wine selection is good, however, very pricey. (probably 80% premium over similar restaurants) Caution: Well marbled... More
