Small town meets big city taste!

A wonderful evening experience with the hubby! We felt the warmth of a small town in this cozy restaurant, but our tastebuds enjoyed the big city flavors! Wonderful lamb and ribs! Already made reservations for Valentine's Day!

It was nice to see some not so average fayre on the menu and it was certainly a difficult choice of entrées. The appetiser Scallops in Thai broth were dedelightful, the ribs were succulent and tasty, the Cassoulet a little dry unfortunately. Kids enjoyed their desserts, especially the Bread & Butter with caramel, pecans and cherries. The tables are a... More

The Pecan crusted Whitefish is well worth the trip to Harbor Springs. Add in remarkable salads and creative, delicious desserts and you almost have The New York complete story. The rest of the story is found in a most gracious and attentive staff and housed in a building rich in history. We will return to the next time we're in... More

As a year-round resident of Harbor Springs, we dine at The New York very often and the food and service never disappoint! I dined there last week with some friends, and we took advantage of the evening's innovative specials. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and my cassoulet entree was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful balance of white beans,... More

My roasted salmon was boring, nothing special. My husband's crabcakes had more filler than crab. What crab there was, definitely not lump. Arugula salad was pretty good. Couscous had chunks of peppers, would have been better if pepers were minced and less of them.

I've been skiing at Boyne Highlands and Mountain for many years, often had breakfast at The New York but we always had our fancy dinner at Staffords The Pier. This changed 2 years ago when Harbor Springs was snow bound one night and The Pier didn't even bother to open (that in itself shows that they have given up) We... More

Have eaten there three times this year. Food was tepid at best. Whites fish was soggy. Ribs were wooden. Service was slow and inattentive. Have probably eaten here 100+ times over the years. No more

Harbor Springs Michigan is an historic town on the bay of Lake Michigan. It's very popular, especially in the summer, and many people in warmers climates have vacation homes here. The New York is one of the only upscale restaurants in Harbor Springs. The view of the Bay while you are dining is beautiful. Wait staff always attentive but not... More

We had dinner here 4 weeks ago with a couple friends. I had baby back rib that time and it terrible super dry to the point that no moisture or anything you can see on the meat, I believe it was pre cooked and microwave. My husband had a fish and he said it wasnt good either. Service was good... More

Dinner at the New York is an elegant, relaxed event. Although it was crowded, we never felt rushed. Our server, Jerry, was very friendly and professional, making great recommendations. I started with a Margatini which was a fantastic twist on the classic margarita using jalapeno infused tequila. Yum! The lobster bisque, although a little thicker than I like, (maybe a... More
