Had a fantastic meal at The Point. Sensational flavors and an extensive wine list coupled with great service, advice and knowledge of both food and wine. This is a place to celebrate a special occasion. A place to splurge a bit and enjoy a lot!

I visited the point many times and I love going back to this restaurant. The wine list is from out of this world. I love the steak. The service from the waiters are amazing. And the view of Albert Park Lake is worth every cents.

Went with my partner for her birthday after much internet research. We were met at the door with an unexpected 'happy birthday' greeting and shown to a table with a beautiful view. Staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and wines to match with food. Every dish was better than the last . Not cheap, but for that special occasion,... More

It can be difficult to find somewhere special for lunch on a Monday in Melbourne outside of the CBD......... But then there is The Point. Recently there for my wife's birthday lunch, just the two of us. Service was excellent and a very extensive wine list with some rarities. I chose a steak tasting dish which had 3 different type... I took my mother and partner here last night and I think I can say that it's probably one of the best dining experience I've had in Melbourne. The menu is small and sophisticated which means it may not appeal to your average punter but everything was brilliant. The rare venison I had for my main was definitely the standout... More

Rocked up without a booking one night, table of 4, had a few drinks and had a table after 39 mns, didn't mind at all. Few hours later we were happy businessmen walking out of those doors. Well done, exceptional meals and very good wine list.

This is world class dinning at it's best, the menu gives that difference to the norm that pleases, the wine list is something they pride there selves on, although on the expensive side, they need to add a few bottles on the low price end for the less knowledgeable diners. I started with Quail for entrée and finished with Venison... More

I have reviewed The Point previously but it is great to know that eight months later it is still as good as ever and just gets better and better. Joseph the Sommelier is amazing - he remembered exactly what we drank on our previous visit. We opted for the Express Lunch on this occasion and the food and service were... More

The only reasons that The Point gets three stars (instead of two) is because of the fantastic staff and lovely view. The food, unfortunately, let's them down. It's not that the food wasn't good, in so much as it was very over priced for what you got. $5.50 for raw oysters, $50 for a steak that was only seasoned with... More
