Stopping here for lunch or dinner is like being able to stop by your Oma's house anytime you want to eat! The food is good authentic Polish food. And if the portions have downsized a bit in the last few years, there still good Polish yum-size portions! LOL You will never leave hungry! If you make it past the bread... More

I have been a fan of this restaurant for many, many years - going back to when it was known as Zosia's. It is tucked away on a side street, with plenty of parking on a municipal lot two doors down. It is a favorite of locals, as well as the business lunch crowd. Therefore, it will be crowded during... More

My husband and I have been coming here for years. If you are looking for fancy - this is not the place. If you are looking for fast - keep looking. BUT if you want really great polish food, at really great prices in a very unique atmosphere - get in line (literally). There is always a line at this... More

Have gone there many times and always consistently good food. However prices have gone up and portions have decreased. Servers are at times "more times then less times" hurried and rude. It is good authentic polish food, we will go back but not as often. Be prepared to wait at least 30 to 60 minutes unless your getting carry out... More

The food and atmosphere of Polish Village make this my favorite place to eat in metro Detroit. It's usually packed, so it's fun to grab a Zywiec at the bar while you wait and enjoy the cozy atmosphere, which feels (and smells) like a holiday gathering at Grandma's house. I've never had a bad meal here, and while the Polish... More

I came on a Tuesday night and the place was packed (which is usually a good sign). I had to wait about 20-30 minutes to get a table, but it was well worth it! I figured service would be naturally slow, but my drink order & bread/breadsticks came quick. I ordered a Okocim draft & the Polish Plate, better known... More

It's just like Grandma used to make. The food is great and the atmosphere is very European. The service is decent, but the restaurant is small. There is often a wait because everyone wants to eat here!

Both of my grandmothers were polish, and their cooking is something I miss most. Christmas has always consisted of pierogies and sausages, and while I didn't appreciate all of the cabbage when I was younger, it's something I can't get enough of now. I brought my parents here, and both of them said it reminded them of family meals when... More

I grew up in Hamtramck back in the early 60s, my polish grandmother use to cook meals very much like the meals served at the Polish Village Cafe. This is a little place tucked back off the main street but well worth the hunt. It is one of my favorite places to eat. The women cook many of the meals... More

I'm not Polish but I've grown to love Polish food over the past few years. We stopped here on our way home from Petoskey (visit the Polish Kitchen if you go there - also an excellent place for good food). We got there after what we thought would be the lunch rush but they were still pretty busy. You park... More
