We were overcome with the delicious food and atmosphere of the Policy Village. It is a delightful place!

It is my opinion that this is the best Polish Restaurant in America. The perogies are outstanding. Best breaded pan fried pork chops...the sour cream and dill sliced cucumbers are the best. Large portions and traditional ambience. If you're in the Detroit area this is a must visit. Worth my 2 hour drive.

As a girl of 100% Polish descendants, I found the food to be extremely good! Of course no one can cook like one's bucia ( or babcia for some) - or mother - but it's definitely the real thing here! And the whole family thought it was delicious! What I was truly impressed with was their personal regard to making... More

We've been to PVC several times before and have never been disappointed. If you're familiar with the way older houses in Detroit were set up, there were a lot of second kitchens nestled in basements -- where the BIG holiday meals were prepared. When you walk down the steps and into PVC, that's exactly what it feels like -- right... More

Adjacent to abundant parking in the free city surface lot, Polish Village Cafe (down the stairs) has provided years of great business lunches, especially favored by out-of-town visitors. The tin-type ceiling, long wooden bar, tables all crammed together, and holiday twinkling lights all add to the authentic ambiance. The food is honest and always good; like home-cooked Polish dishes. Daily... More

I am not Polish, but Polish food and beer is my favorite. I have eaten at many Polish restaurants in Michigan, but now I only go to the Polish Village Café. Once you walk down the steps into the café, you know that you are about to enjoy a unique experience, and you will. I start out with a 16... More

Stopping here for lunch or dinner is like being able to stop by your Oma's house anytime you want to eat! The food is good authentic Polish food. And if the portions have downsized a bit in the last few years, there still good Polish yum-size portions! LOL You will never leave hungry! If you make it past the bread... More

I have been a fan of this restaurant for many, many years - going back to when it was known as Zosia's. It is tucked away on a side street, with plenty of parking on a municipal lot two doors down. It is a favorite of locals, as well as the business lunch crowd. Therefore, it will be crowded during... More

My husband and I have been coming here for years. If you are looking for fancy - this is not the place. If you are looking for fast - keep looking. BUT if you want really great polish food, at really great prices in a very unique atmosphere - get in line (literally). There is always a line at this... More

Have gone there many times and always consistently good food. However prices have gone up and portions have decreased. Servers are at times "more times then less times" hurried and rude. It is good authentic polish food, we will go back but not as often. Be prepared to wait at least 30 to 60 minutes unless your getting carry out... More
