Predictably Good

We've visited The Hill many times, and our experience has been remarkably consistent. In this case, "consistent" is good. In a town with only a few fine dining choices, The Hill would be my choice for a special dinner, or a place to entertain out of town guests or customers. It has a clubby feel... read more

We had dinner last night and had a very well prepared and pleasant dinner. After looking through the menu on-line I was expecting anything "special". I was pleasantly surprised. While all the dishes listed seemed to be the regular fare at a seafood and chop house - all had a bit more pizazz and were very well prepared. The net/net... More

This is kind of a local hangout - lots of people from the area often meet up for drinks and dinner. Food is good and so are the drinks nice outdoor area too

We ate here last night celebrating a family birthday. For the most part, food was great. Couple issues: a) my husbands $40 surf & turf was tepid - but he didn't complain at the time, so that was on him. B) while our server was bubbly/friendly, he was obviously in the weeds, so we service was not as, ahem, seamless... More

Though the reastaurant has changed hands, the staff us largely the same, and that's the best that can be said about this latest iteration of "The Hill". The food is is fine - again, nothing new and different - but the prices for what one gets are ridiculous. And let me be clear, I'm not one to complain about expensive... More

Was here for our anniversary dinner. Had a table by it self, elevated in the front. It was a Monday night and we were there at 6:00PM. By the time we left it was crowded and it can see it would be a little noisy near the bar area. The decor is very attractive. Waitstaff attentive. Food was imaginative and... More

Excellent higher end restaurant. Friendly staff and the food is always excellent. Drinks are solid pours. Try the blue cheese pizza!

4/11/2015 Referred to The Hill to celebrate a quiet anniversary dinner...restaurant was crowded and noisy. Had an 8pm reservation, arrived 15 minutes early, had to wait 20 before being seated. Waitress stated they were too busy to satisfy my request for fried shrimp as opposed to scampi. The most disappointing incident was when the waitress saw our credit card on... More

Our expectations going in may have set us up for a mild failure. Now the service and decor were excellent, and the freshly baked bread with warm garlic butter drizzled on top which was a great start. Very knowledgable waitress provided valued input and added to the experience. Being a foodie the entrées were merely above average, something that I... More

Had dinner on Tuesday this past week. Had been a year since I was here last. Did the Three cheese French onion, the filet of beef l, and Macallan 12 followed by espresso. My guest had lobster bisque, Caesar salad, and pasta. Temp of food was much better than a year ago. Potatoes and carrots were wonderful. Bread was perfect.... More
