beautiful wood in this bar, a quaint, quiet upscale bar to enjoy a peaceful cocktail and enjoy a good conversation. Staff were kind and were excellent at bartending as the liquors are well above top shelf. I only wish Michigan would change the no smoking ban in some places, i would love to have enjoyed a fine cigar while there.

Great cozy bar to get an after dinner drink before heading up to your room. Great selection of adult beverages.

This is a lovely bar with very knowledgeable bartenders. The atmosphere is perfect after a long day of work. I especially like the fact that chocolate is given with your bar tab.

I got a spicy Bloody Mary and my husband got a Captain and "Pepsi". If that qualifies as a drink. Love the atmosphere but my Bloody Mary was suppose to come with jalapeño stuffed olives and didn't. :(.

Although we've stayed at the Amway Grand a number of times, we had never ventured in to the Lumber Baron (maybe it wasn't there??). On this trip we stopped for pre-dinner wine (with a small serving of complementary munchies) and enjoyed it immensely. It's intimate and cozy -- wood paneling on the walls, a fireplace, the feeling of being in... More
