A trip to Founders is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys craft beer. It should be no surprise to anyone familiar with Founders that the beer at the tap room is fantastic. On the menu are several of Founders standard offerings, including, Red's Rye, Dirty B@stard, Centennial IPA, and Curmudgeon Old Ale, just to name a few. Also on... More

Went on the brewery tour given by one of the founders of Founders. Had a great time asking questions. The restaurant has several beers that are currently being made including some that are only available on-site. If you want to sample, go with the 5 ounce sample glasses. Beers are priced in groups rather than individually.

Stopped for some beer samples and a sandwich. Very impressed by the size(700+ capacity) and the "seat your self". Tables were spread out enough for that "no cramped" feeling. Parking is a bit of a challenge though. :) Had the "Grandwich" July special and it was one heck of a sandwich. Beers were so-so with Dirty B. being the best... More

We started our bar hopping weekend in Grand Rapids at Founders Brewing Company. It was so fun and we were by far the oldest people in the bar. We were a group of forty-somethings and we were surrounded by twenty-somethings but we still had a great time. The bar has indoor space with a stage for music, a long bar... More

This place was not at all what I expected. The restaurant spans a hug area with different seating styles including covered porch, exposed outdoor, high-tops, and family-style tables. We didn't realize that you ordered like a deli and that kids needed to be out by 9. Nevertheless, we enjoyed every bit of it. Adults and kids both enjoyed their meals... More

Didn't think they could expand much more - but they managed it! Are the company's sales climbing? If the size of the locale is any indication - then, yes! Tasty food and lots of beer choices. Sample away! Large bar and restaurant area inside and great patio perches. Newer merchandise store is open late in case you forget to grab... More

My husband and I visited on the fifth of July. My husband had the devil dancer and I drank a Rubeus. Outstanding. So much beer variety. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful weather. We didn't eat here, but we have in the past. The food is good, but you have to go up to order it,... More

Nice place, decent food, good beer (lots of IPA) and good atmosphere.  But the place is very large. For a more "personal"/charming night out I would go to Brewery Vivant.

Went here before fireworks with 4 adults and a 2 year old. The servers were very friendly and even helped us find a table in the crowded seat yourself restaurant. We sat outside and the atmosphere was really very nice. The beers were great. We shared 4 different appetizers; cheesy garlic bread, crab dip, cheese dip and guacamole. The guacamole... More
