Very cool place to go. Beer sampler was fun to try and the food was great. The service was fast and the waitress was helpful and explained the different beers to us. Definitely will go back when I'm in Grand Rapids.

Went prior to a concert at the arena down the street. Just a great experience all around. Didn't know which beer to order so wait staff (fun and well trained) suggested a sample flight of 6. Fun to taste and compare. Settled on an Amber but ordered others as well. Very 'happy' and energetic atmosphere, solid pub food. A must... More

Friends told me that I had to go to Founders if I was in GR. It's a pretty cool place! It's a bit awkward trying to figure out if you should get a table first and then order or the other way around (order first). There really wasn't anyone there to explain to me what the order was. I had... More

Line them up and I'll knock them down, is that a bowling or a billiards phrase? For me, it's beer tasting! Whether it's hops, ales, lagers, or IPAs; Founder's crafted beers meets my high standards!! Everything was great, the food yummy!! I love this place!! So worth the trek!! A gift shop to boot!!! Keep those hops and yeast rolling!!!

Let's put one thing out there. I love a good beer. Not the domestic budwiser, but a good unique thick dark beer. Founders has an incredible selection of the best beers I have ever had. Being famiar with their variety (they are sold all over in stores), I had to come try it from the tap. i was not dissapointed.... More

Went once to drink beers brewed on site and returned for lunch the next day. Great selection of brews of different types. I prefer hoppy brews and they had 2-3 excellent brews of that genre. Pints are $4.25 to $6. I had the Ruben which was quite good. My friends had the BLT and were also pleased. Their "crack fries"... More

Thanks a lot for the kind words! I think you may have mixed us up with HopCat when you referenced our "crack fries" as we do not have a deep fryer in our kitchen. I can understand your appreciation for them, however, as they are amazing and delicious! The beer references you made were spot-on with our taproom, however. Thanks... More

Founders really is all about the beer. It's definitely a must-do in the area. Casual, it has the ambience of a Seattle-type craft beer house. Seating is all seat yourself, indoor and outdoor. Outdoor is very much a Munich-like picnic hall, huge oak tables, outdoor torchiers, crowded to the hilt! You aren't really assigned a "waiter", but one of the... More

I'm not a beer drinker so I can't comment on the beer but the atmosphere is good. We had to pay a $5 cover to get in "for the band" which was AWFUL!! They should have paid us to listen to the garbage that was on stage. The opener was rolling on the floor and bouncing from table to table... More

Loved that this one was in walking distance to hotel downtown. This brewery was recently expanded and is one of the biggest breweries visited. Very good beer and turkey, sauerkraut, etc. sandwich for lunch was wonderful! Great place!!!! Will definitely go back.

Founders has earned iconic status in Grand Rapids. Come for their legendary craft beer, and stay for the top-shelf deli menu. The tap room was renovated in September 2013, and now features capacity for up to ~600 patrons. Yes, it can get that busy, and parking can be a challenge. Knowledgeable & friendly serving staff.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review our taproom! Being considered "iconic" is quite the accolade and I hope we can continue to live up to it. Thanks again and hope to see you soon! More
