It was a dreary rainy day, but great place to cozy up for a good dinner and lakeview. Highlights were my Bibb lettuce salad with candied walnuts, sliced pears, gorgonzola cheese, moist grilled chicken, and champagne dressing The caramel popcorn was to die for, since I miss good popcorn (dismally lacking in the northeast). This was our first visit and we enjoyed it very much. The service was good and the food was great. The mahi tacos were wonderful! On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, there was a 30 minute wait to sit outside so we chose to be seated immediately indoors. Due to the many windows, we still had a nice view. A very... More

My family and I went to Rose's for a family dinner and to celebrate a Birthday. We sat outside on the open air porch where we could view the lake and boats. It was a perfect casual ambience with good food at reasonable prices. I loved the seared tuna with edamame, my children enjoyed the lake perch. The only drawback... More

I usually rely on Trip Adviser reviews for local restaurants, to avoid the chains. Rose's on Reed's lake exceeded expectations. Happy hour specials included $2.99 drafts, including Founders pale ale, and excellent choice to accompany my Reuben. This might have been the single best Reuben I have ever tasted. House made corned beef, shredded, not sliced, and house made 1000... More

Rose's is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Delicious food with a great atmosphere. Plan on a wait if you go on the weekends, but it is definitely worth it! They'll give you a beeper, so just take a walk in the lovely adjoining park that overlooks Reeds Lake. My personal favorite is the Gorgonzola Tournedos. MMM - MMM good!... More

This is part of the excellent restaurant group known as The Gilmore Collection -- places known for good food, good service and character. Rose's is a local landmark. It has some touches to remind diners of what it was before (like the last batch of popcorn made by the founder). Nice deck outside overlooking the lake. Very nice place. Casual... More

Whenever in Grand Rapids, I schedule appointments so that we might dine at Rose's afterwards.
