This place has some interesting twists on their food. Very good. Sometimes we have a bit of a wait to get seated, but it's only because their food & service is so good. Trust me, you'll be happy with your choice to eat here.

This is the best veggie restaurant in GR. It's a tad expensive, but the food is worth it. Wednesdays are Pasty days - try them!

Stopped here during a short visit to Grand Rapids. So many food choices it was hard to decide what to order. Sandwiches have unique parings for interesting flavors (e.g., cranberry sauce and cream cheese on chicken sandwich, lentil tacos). Enjoyed the Turkish coffee on the cold day. Most of us had take home bags as portions were plenty.

In Grand Rapids for business, first time in the city, and so I looked to TA for advice on where to eat. Glad I did. This is my kind of restaurant. Great varied menu. Something for everyone, from meat eaters to vegans. Very impressed with the portions, with very reasonable prices. Take out or eat in. Will probably go back... More

I am one of the lucky ones who was able to wait in long lines out the door at lunch time only to be served free samples of cookies and sandwiches from Marie herself while I waited. Such fond memories of life-changing food. Try ANY sandwich, you cannot go wrong. Buy a loaf of homemade bread for the road. Any... More

We are never disappointed at Marie's except when we have a long wait. Would be nice if there was more space but the food is always delicious!

save room for dessert! Upscale sandwich shop with lots of homemade influence. The curry squash soup will change your life.

If you are a foodie, this place is a must. The reviews are accurate. Yes this place is packed at lunch hour. Marie Catrib's has a great menu & the food is special. So, don't skip, don't avoid, don't be in a hurry. My advice is try the Rueben.

Once you've gotten seated (usually a bit of a wait) and enjoyed some of the delicious, fresh meals, you'll want to take some home from the deli counter. Many flavors with new takes on sandwiches. Sides lean toward Mediterranean. Many ingredients like eggs and bacon from local farms. Service is casual and considerate, always quick. No ordinary desserts here either.... More

Sometimes you have to wait, but not unreasonably long. Food is great. Plenty of options for vegetarians.
