Huge portions, delicious food and self serve drinks make this hippie like cafe a must. They can veganize most anything. I got the burrito and it was really good and big. I will definitely be back! Only issue was parking is on street and limited.

We went here because there was a wait down the street, what a great surprise! Had the most fun waiter. Unique vegetarian place, awesome food!

You definitely have to be a little laid back to enjoy this gem. It's so unique and has fantastic food though! Best breakfast around! (Be sure to buy a Gaia cookie on your way out, you won't regret it)

GAIA has been a favorite for years. The food is great, but be prepared for a 70s Hippie style of humble decor!

I had hummus with garlic. It was fantastic, but the garlic taste hung with me a long time, even into the next day in spite of brushing my teeth and using Listerine. It tasted so good that I would order again. The coffee is only so-so. The soup was excellent (but I don't remember what kind it was).

So I was torn about this review, because every visit is different. The food is amazing, really no matter what you order, even if you are someone who happens to enjoy meat. But I need to make this clear - these people seemed to decide that they don't care about service. Some days you get food in 7 minutes, some... More

We go to GAIA every time we are in Grand Rapids! We love the vegetarian commitment, the small but very tasty menu AND the cookies! Plus, the people are very nice!

This is a hidden little restaurant in the quaint area of Eastown in Grand Rapids, MI. Now, the place is VERY small so getting a seat might night be the easiest task around, but it is truly worth the effort. The food is simply wonderful. The atmosphere is EXTREMELY casual. You sort of seat yourself wherever you can find a... More

I know people who love this place but I didn't think the food was good at all. Tasteless, unappealing and uninteresting.

I first visited Gaia about 30 years ago. At that time, this vegetarian restaurant had all their coffee mugs of different sizes an makes, sitting on a shelf in the dining area and you just walked in a made yourself a cup of selected herbal teas in it. Great food, kitchen open to the restaurant diners---guess they would call that... More
