We tried this restaurant for Saturday breakfast. It is an adorable diner. Great, attentive staff. The breakfast menu is extensive. Everything is made from scratch. I had a waffle with a topping that made it taste like a cinnamon roll. The baked goods were luscious in appearance. Hubby had a scramble with all sort of goodies that he gobbled down.... More

Went there on a cold sunday morning with friends and was surprised to see people waiting to be seated. Coffee was available for people in the waiting area which I felt was great as it took half hour for seating us. Staffs were very friendly & had very good knowledge of their entire menu. They told about their specials immediately... More

This place is always busy, and there's a reason for that. They offer many delicious breakfast dishes and prepare each perfectly. This restaurant has a diner-feel without the booths and although they make full-use of their limited space, sometimes there is a wait. They do offer free coffee and benches with newspapers for those waiting though. Although they have plenty... More

I'm staying at a hotel in downtown Grand Rapids. We decided to have breakfast and "someone" suggested a place called Real Food Cafe. I inquired about where it was and "someone" said just down the Beltway. So off we go, just down the Beltway, and I counted at least 26 restaurants and we still hadn't got to Real Food. Just... More

breakfast and lunch offerings are plentiful. From eggs, pancakes, omelet and yogurt to salads, sandwiches and home made soups. Very busy so be prepared to wait a bit at times. The prices are a little high but the portions make up for it. Closed on Monday and only open until 2:00 p.m.

Tried this restaurant based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. We had the "Tuesday Special (eggs, bacon, french toast) and the corned beef, eggs, English muffin. Delicious! The atmosphere is nothing fancy but homey. Service was friendly and fast. We'll definitely go back.

We went here for breakfast because of the reviews on Tripadvisor. The food was good, portions are extremely generous, so bring your appetite. The atmosphere is the big draw here. Very much a retro vibe but an authentic one. Loud, crowded, bustling - you feel like you're somewhere. A true slice of good old Americana. Would definitely go back next... More

One of my favorite restaurants in GR. Eastern st. location is my preference. The quality of food is wonderful and always consistent. I visit often and will drive out of my way just to have their breakfast. Love the noisy diner and home town atmosphere.

Real Food Cafe is a labor of love since all the menu items are made from scratch. Not only is everything home made, they have also put a tasty spin to traditional favorites such as Eggs Benedict. During my last visit I ordered Irish Benedict, which was fabulous, it included English muffins, corned beef hash, fresh spinach, eggs and a light... More

I frequently go here and every time I love it more and more. The best breakfast hands down and it has become the only place that I will eat out breakfast because everywhere else is a huge disappointment. Guy Fieri should come here!
