Breakfast at Real Food Cafe makes rolling out of bed worthwhile. Many go for the pancakes, although I prefer their omelettes. The food is fresh, plentiful, and affordable, and served in cheerful surroundings by friendly wait staff. The baked goods are fresh and high quality, and the coffee is strong. I've had various omelettes, four different kinds of pancakes, and... More

Real Food is worth any wait, the food is that good. We all enjoyed our breakfast arguing that each had the best. Mine was at Veggie hash, it was fresh and full of flavor. Our kids had pancakes that were fluffy. We sat at the counter which was fun and didn't take quite as long to get seated.

If it weren't for the reviews on Trip Advisor we would have driven right by this place on a non descript street in Grand Rapids, and a non descript restaurant front. My wife was convinced we had got the wrong place! However, we went in and got the last seats. My wife ordered the Irish Eggs Benedict and I had... More

I love the Real food cafe. Expansive choices for breakfast, and large portions, enough to tak home for lunch. The only problem is trying to get in, so if you are in a hurry, this usually will not work. Great service, great food, can't go wrong!

My daughter recommended this place for breakfast this morning, and she really hit the spot 100%. Our breakfast was GREAT, prices very reasonable with good portions. And there's free coffee while you wait (and you probably will due to the popularity). We're adding Real Food to our list of favorite restaurants in GR. If you are looking for a "classic"... More

My wife and i wanted to go some place different for breakfast. We have been to the Real Food Cafe in the past, but have not been there for sometime. They have expanded the dining space. It was a Sunday morning, which is generally busy. We were seated immediately and our server( I wish I had gotten her name as... More

Everyone says that the Real Food Cafe is great for breakfast, but they have great soups and sandwiches too. Keep in mind that they don't take credit cards (there's an ATM in the back) and they are only open until 2 pm, Tuesday - Sunday.

Great homemade food! The white chocolate chip blueberry pancakes and capicola scramble are my favourites.

Very busy on Sunday's in the am. Worth the wait though! I love the menu and routinely try new things and have liked it all. I rarely carry cash on me, but make sure you have that or a check since they don't take credit.

We make this place a required stop whenever in Grand Rapids. The breakfast menu options pretty much cover the territory, and then some. Strawberry pancakes, mmmm! Northland scamble, to die for (or maybe from)! Tasty Benedict variations! English muffin toast! House-made baked goods. The quality is super, and the service is great. Some tips: Consider ordering one less dish than... More
