We met a friend, so the three of us were able to order several wonderful tapas to share. Meat, veggie, seafood-it was all good. This place also has a terrific selection of Michigan craft beers.

Friendly staff. Went there for dinner. There were 4 of us, my husband and I and 2 teenage sons. We ordered and shared the mushroom/chorizo dish, calamari dish and tenderloin beef dish. Everything was excellent. We added paella midway and it was well made. They also gave bread and their special dipping oil in the beginning. Very good. We all... More

This restaurant was superb on having a varied menu and the food was very fresh. The sautéed shrimp, the gazpacho and the couscous with quinoa and sun dried tomatoes were outstanding. We sat outside on a very pleasant evening and received very good service!

My first time in Grand Rapids, we chose this lovely place. Situated in a beautiful historic building, the atmosphere was quite nice. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was EXCELLENT! We enjoyed the goat cheese on garlic toast and I had the croquettas de papas. It was all VERY good!

San Chez is one of my favorite places to eat. The dates stuffed with chorizo are to die for. I get them every time I go. The tapas are all interesting and every one I have had has been wonderful. I have a lot of food allergies and San Chez is always able to accommodate me. This means their food... More

Bright and cheery with wonderful colors and decor. Build your own Mimosas was yummy. Great tasting coffee. I had the cinnamon French toast and it was good but would have liked it if it was a bit crispier. Wonderful bacon. Seasoned home fries were average. Husband had the pork hash. Was very tasty. Had a great waitress, Kylie. Expensive only... More

Stopped in to San Chez for breakfast on a Sunday morning on a whim. It did not disappoint. Although we did not try it, the bloody mary and mimosa bars were an attractive option. We did however, eat breakfast. It was very good, and reasonably priced - 2 entrees and coffee for about $20. I particularly enjoyed the rustic bread... More

We were in town for a concert and walked downtown for a late breakfast. The place we were heading to ended up being closed for renovations. So we stumbled upon the San Chez Cafe which is next to the Bistro. It turned out to be a great find, everything fresh and prepared and presented well. The food and coffee was... More

Our group walked here from the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. We ordered several dishes. Loved the mushrooms and the steak. Our server was so-so. She seemed insincere (you know how you can tell when someone's smiles are fake?). We were ready to order three more items at the end, but the server vanished for a very long time. Probably on...
