Best Gyros and Greek Fries EVER!

Best Gyros in town at any one of their locations, and by far the best Greek fries I've ever had!! There are a lot of places to get a 'gyro', in this town or anywhere else; even Arby's thinks they have one, but these are not on the same level as The Pita House. There is good reason for the... read more

This is not haute cuisine, it's cheap, delicious gyros and falafel and babaganouj and hummus. Fries are big and atmosphere, well, who cares, you're sitting in one of a row of booths bordering a small middle-eastern grocery (or you're at home, unwrapping the tantalizing lamb/beef gyro in that lovely garlicky yogurt cucumber sauce). Love it every time. We've moved about... More

Best gyro's around. Weather it the the Sami's or the Black & White you will not be disappointed. The meat is flavorful and the size is more then generous. If you are a vegetarian there are equally delicious options from the falafel to the vegetarian platter. I have been eating at The Pita House for years and it is consistently... More

While all the deli ingredients are fresh, flavorful and generously served, they added house made falafel. Unlike the previous golf balls, these are light, fluffy and delicious. I wish the seating area was a little more attractive, but the food is quite good.

Sami's in Eastown NEVER disappoints. The food is plentiful, fresh, tasty and served up quickly. The "go to" place for gyro's!!!

We had been told by a friend that Pita House was a place to get a great gyro so we decided to give it a try. We went to the 28th St. location. We ordered a couple of gyros and hummus. The gyros were okay but nothing special and the hummus was decent but lacked flavor. The real turnoff was... More

I'm a cheap guy so paying 6.99 for a gyro was pretty tough but it was tasty, filling, and well worth it. Just by all of the ingredients and things that they sell by the cash register you can tell that they are using healthier and foreign ingredients, spices and such. Its tucked back in a 28th st strip mall,... More

My dad and I are fairly limited in our gastronomical selection when we travel since we are both vegetarians, and are always thrilled when we see a Lebanese/Mediterranean place around because we know that means falafel. So it was great to find Sami's Gyros. The servery is located within a large room, most of which is a convenience store. The... More

My companion wanted gyros so we found this place. Secretly, it is also a fine homemade Lebanese place. Gyros were made fresh on the spot, they had great falafel, spinach pie, kibbe and the famous Lebanese pink turnip pickles. Gyros was fabulous and large. Also has a store with Middle Eastern groceries. They also had fresh pita and mahmool which... More

I was waiting in line for my gyro, when the lady taking the order of the gentleman in front of began to have a charged political discussion with him. I felt uncomfortable and it was incredibly unprofessional. As for my gyro, it was meh. It wasn't terrible, but not something that would make me return. Besides, witnessing the behavior of... More
