I enjoyed dinner at Hop Cat on a beautiful Tuesday night in June with my wife and daughter (4). It was very busy, but no wait for a table. The atmosphere is a great mix of old warehouse exposed brick, stone and steel with finished wood and pub memorabilia. With a 4-year-old in tow, it was still easy for seating... More

The food here is good, but not the main reason to come. A good beer selection and the atmosphere make this worth checking out. If the weather is nice, sit on the patio.

If you want a great place to get great food and drink this is the place. The relaxed atmosphere and the friendly staff make you feel like you are at home. The change up of beer selections make you excited to stop in and see what is new on the menu. If you get one item of food there you... More

I recently attended a concert at Van Andel and this gem of a restaurant is tucked in right next to the arena. After a 45 minute wait (They were upfront about this and we agreed) we were seated in the patio area with comfortable couches and coffee tables. This made enjoying the company of our friends easy and relaxing because... More

The hotel recommended Hop Cat for lunch for my 14 year old daughter and I. She ordered a burger and added blue cheese. It came with crack fries and we added the beer cheese dip. I ordered a Cobb salad. She very much enjoyed her burger. The crack fries were as good as advertised and we both really liked the... More

We had received a recommendation to check this place out. We were in town for our anniversary to tour different breweries. When we tried to go to Hop Cat for dinner, it was too crowded so we came back a couple hours later for dessert and beer. To be honest, this was our least favorite and felt like it had... More

Was in town on business and came to Hopcat for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Huge beer selection, great house beer brewed on site and very good burger. Would highly highly recommend to anyone - especially beer lovers.

This restaurant/brewery has a nice selection of beers which they brew themselves. Shared three of the appetizers with friends and all three were good. Nice atmosphere. Will return on future visits to Grand Rapids.

Its busy, but its in a prime location. Great beer, great food-of course its going to be busy. Wish they had a darker beer and more cider options. Do not miss the crack fries and get them loaded. Maybe minus the onion. The hostesses are great, sometimes the servers can be hard to find after the initial order and food.

Super atmosphere, and very busy as it should be. Service was quick and friendly. Probably the best beer cheese soup I've ever had and the beers of course, were quite nice. Some great IPA's. A lot of fun.
