Craft beer and cuisine

Vivant is a slightly higher brow brewery than most in GR, but that's by design. The owner founded New Holland Brewery before striking out on his own, and now intentionally keeps volume low to allow experimentation with the menu and the beer. It's a bit more expensive than some other brew pubs, but... read more

This is a must try....we stopped in for a quick bite and loved the place. The decor the ambiance was amazing. The waitress was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. The nachos were to die for. We also tried the truffle fries - delicious! We left feeling happy, satisfied and with a case of beer!

Stopped here with business associates. This was a church & mortuary that was turned into a restaurant. The interior is unique & very impressive. There are several prices of the original interior that were kept in the remodel. We only had drinks. Our waitress was very friendly & explained all the various beers. My business associates had drinks. There was... More

Great atmosphere and solid, friendly service. Cute atmosphere (but loud when busy) and a great new beer garden.

When a friend and I first pulled into town, we made an immediate stop at Founders. We asked one of their beer guys what places he would recommend to check out. He said, "Whatever you do, make sure you go get the duck confit nachos at Brewery Vivant." That night at the hotel, we googled the menu - and Vivant... More

First off, you must go just to see it. A former mortuary, turned Belgium brewhouse. Beer is very good, if not bordering on the great. Service and vibe is smooth but lets talk about the Duck Nachos. Fresh made chips, duck with cream sauce, and piles of fresh tomatoes...........just killer. And, I dont really like duck, so that tells you... More

We came here in the afternoon for drinks and it did not disappoint. My husband and I have very different tastes in beer and there was not a beer we did not like in our flight of four. We don't have kids but they do have a little section that includes a sandbox and toy house to keep them busy.... More

Kobo be steak was great. Risotto, not so. Ribeye, shoe leather. Desserts: small for the price. You pay by the calorie. Just OK. Chocolate plate is unremarkable. Pineapple upside down is good but small. But, the beer is wonderful and the server (Marco) was outstanding. His knowledge of the beer was astounding and his service was just as good. The... More

This Brewery is amazing and the staff is so knowledgable! We traveled a week in MI and this was our favorite meal. Don't miss the pretzels and beer cheese. It will change your life. We are from WI and love beer but we had to buy some to bring home!!

Brewery viva ant is housed in an old church. The atmosphere is great. They also have a cute outdoor garden, but it was raining so we sat inside. Many of the tables are communal, but the spacing is good. We had a group of eleven so we sat at one of the large tables. They do have wine and beer.... More
