The burgers are amazing. Love the Belgian yeast... triples and escoffier is tasty but short of supply. This was a collaborative beer with New Belgian Brewing I just loved. Oh well... other beers on tap are great and the staff is awesome... so is the location ... if you like Belgian beer and/or craft beer ... this is a must... More

This is a great blend of excellent micro brews and high-end culinary like no other I have been too. Very few beers here that I don't like, but always love their stouts. The Duck Nachos are a must every trip. I always go with one of the specials, which this time was Rabbit Bacon Wrapped Rabbit - yes they made... More

We had a group of 10 people meet at Bar Vivant to try their beer. The servers were very helpful in going over the menu. The beer is Belgium style and had a lot of selection. We decided to eat dinner and we were surprised to find some unique offerings. The pretzels were awesome, different than any I have had... More

I was denied entry on an Israeli passport. I'm 25 and denied service by Chris Bates. I will be contacting my attorney about this horrible anti Semite discrimination. Keep away if you are Jewish!!!!!

When we landed at Brewery Vivant it was the second stop on our beer tour of Grand Rapids. It ended up being our last stop as we ended up parking ourselves in the main hall (former chapel of an ornate funeral home) for 3 hours and sampling our way through a good chunk of the beer list; enjoying conversation with... We were delighted with the range of pub food offerings as well as local beers that were available. The food and beer was very good. The atmosphere is very casual sitting at a row of benches or bar stools. It can be noisy if your objective is to have a good conversation. There were four of us and it was... More

I was excited to go here - both for the beer and the menu, as it promised more than the pub fare that most of the "breweries" in this area offer. I must say that none of the 4 of us was really impressed by taste or quality. I had two beers and tasted another, and only the sour distinguished... More

My wife is a dark beer only drinker and didnt really like this place. However, I loved the farmhouse ale. Overall, it has a quirky setting (old church) with good beer.

We sat outside, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The food was only okay though. None of the four of us were thrilled, especially since it was pretty pricey. Many friends have raved about this place, so maybe we'll give it another try some time.
