Heaven in an old church

Everything and I mean everything we had was excellent. We started with the pretzels. Best we have had. Dark beer flight for hubby. We ordered off the special menu. Had the beef Wellington and I had the bourbon chicken. Both were superb. Beer... Food... Service .... (Thank you Jeffrey). Then came... read more

Stopped in for a beer flight with friends. I love that they have a projection screen instead of a bunch of tvs. Great atmosphere and our server was awesome! We will definitely go back next time we're in the area!

This was one of my favorite college haunts! The brewery, a converted chapel, has an atmosphere that maintains the Belgian tradition. With muted lighting, wooden tables, minimal iconography (except for the red rooster), you almost wonder if monks are still running around the brewery making the beer! There are booths on either side, and a few long community tables in... More

Our son recently moved to GR and lives walking distance to Brewery Vivant. What a gem! The food is not run of the mill, although a bit pricey. I loved the unusual choices, not your typical pub food. Several of us shared different dishes and all were very good. The beer was great, as was the service and scenery. Love... More

Best brewery around, 2015. If you can only go to one brewery in GR, for dinner or just drinks, this is the one. Great food, better beer.

This is by far one of my top three breweries. I enjoyed two Solitudes and we shared the flatbread, beer cheese with homemade pretzels and the risotto. We thought we were in a five star restaurant. Our server T.J. was great and his family has a cottage near us. The hostesses were friendly and one is from Leland. Six degrees... More

The Service, Food and Beer was all excellent. Many different items on the menu, we had the pretzels and nachos as an appetizer. Nachos were fantastic. I had the venison French dip that was very good. On Saturday night the place was busy, but we didn't wait too long for seating. Beers were all very good and we brought home... More

I ordered the spent grain flatbread. It had apples, peas, greens and pickled beets on it. It was absolutely delicious. I thought it was supposed to have toasted almonds on it but the flatbread almost had a toasted almond taste. Highly recommend.

Stopped in after seeing this place featured on local TV. Very cool ambiance, as it's an old church/funeral parlor. cool cathedral ceilings and stained glass. We ordered a burger medium and the Belgian fries. It was cooked perfectly. The waitress took the time to speak about our individual tastes and make beer recommendations based on those. I ended up with... More

Was awesome how a church got converted into a brewery. Staff was very nice and the beer flights were good as well. Didn't try any food but everyone's plates looked good. They have a nice gift shop with some nice beer shirts.
