We had friends in town and took a self guided brewery tour. When we walked in the door I loved the building and everyone was really nice. I love old buildings and stained glass windows. We sat down and tried the two ciders while our friends tried the beers. Of the four breweries that day this was the only one... More

Atmosphere is great. Food was good and beer was great. Service was also good. The surrounding area is also has a great "vibe". Our server was good about recommending a beer, based on our present tastes.

This place has such a cool atmosphere being in an old church! It is one of the closet "atmosphere experiences" we have had in the states and really reminded us pubs we sat in on trips to Europe!! Even the smell reminded us of Europe! Beer is good and the cider they have on tap (not theirs though) is delish!

While I've enjoyed some of Brewery Vivant's beers before, this was my first trip to the tap room. Wow. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Fantastic beer. I particularly enjoyed that there were several seasonals on tap that were unique to their normal lineup. We didn't eat a full meal while there, but we did have some appetizers, which were very good.... More

We went to Brewery Vivant while visiting GR with "couple" friends. It was a little disturbing, at first, when you entered in the sanctuary of the former church but quickly overcame this when you fell into the wonderful and fun atmosphere that surrounded us. There are different rooms to sit in while you are at Vivant including the former sanctuary,... More

Above the doors as you enter is "Chapel" so you know you're at the right place! Inside, it feels like they kept as much as possible intact so that you can enjoy the ambiance. The staff was great to mention the menu choices as well as the drinks. I had a flight of beers and the Undertaker, a Belgian dark... More

Tried the flights with four different beers. Everyone interesting and fresh, and good variety. We also had a late dinner. Two kids meals, a salad and a sandwich. Food was very tasty. Fresh greens, juicy meat etc. Staff very friendly and the bar/dining room super cool.

My husband and I had lunch here on a Sunday. It was a beautiful day, but we chose to sit inside since it was an old chapel with lots of charm. The service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Many Michigan brew pubs don't have table service, we appreciate it when we can get it. The beer was... More

Very cool place. It was VERY loud inside, however. I sat outside (only open in the summer) and it was much quieter. Lots of selection for drinks and the staff was very helpful with the different types of beer and what they taste like. Samples were offered if you weren't sure if you wanted to have a full glass of... More
