Description: Reserve is proud to present Grand Rapids with our homage to Wine, Pork, Cheese and even more wine! Executive Chef Matt Millar has developed a network of purveyors to supply Reserve with hand-selected, seasonal produce, pork, Michigan raised lamb, beef and fish to anchor a locally driven rustic yet refined menu of simple, eclectic fare. Our goal at Reserve is to source the best possible product as close to home as possible. Our Charcuterie bar will serve up local and international cheeses and meats along with Reserve exclusives, house made sausages, terrines, and pates. The extensive international wine list was developed by certified sommelier Peter Marantette. The list features 102 wines by the glass and a bottle list of nearly 300 selections. Artisan cocktails and a focused craft beer list round out a unique dining experience here at Reserve.

Reserve is my fave Michigan dining experience although without Matthew Millar at the helm, I'm not sure you could replicate his skills. Still, in a sea of bland, pedestrian and awful, reserve shines. With both food and its extensive wine offerings, which are first rate. The design and ambience is fabulous. The best meal I have ever had in Michigan... More

Food selections are built around good wine. Great place to get charcuterie and small plates. Nice selection of wines, which come in "tasting" portions if you like, so you can try several. Service is just a little bit slow. Great energy and people watching.

Shockingly enough, I've never been to this restaurant although I'm in Grand Rapids once a month on a average. Thanks to OpenTable.com's addition of them on line, I ventured out last weekend in the snowstorm to try it. I was not disappointed. When we walked it, it was like walking into a restaurant in downtown Manhattan! Very cool and contemporary!... More

My boyfriend and I stopped in to sample some wine and ended up ordering the fries and rabbit gnocchi. The waitress took good care of us and even picked out 3 wines for me to try that were delicious! We loved it so much that we decided to come back later that week for their New Years Eve dinner which... More

This restaurant has an excellent menu and knowledgable staff. It looks like it belongs in manhattan but there is a real local, farm to table theme on the menu. The cheese and cured meat selection was impressive. My huband ordered the cheeseburger and said it was the BEST he had ever had. I ordered a pasta dish with leeks and... More

What a perfect little per show hang out! We needed a snack and some wine before we saw Jersey Boys, and this was just what the doctor ordered! What a lovely atmosphere and fantastic prompt service from the delightful Barry! Delicious light soup, cheese plates with fruit were perfect!

Jamon Iberico, great red wine from Ribera del Duero started off a memorable meal. The house-made gnocci and chicken-n-dumplings were both stellar. Overall, hard to believe this place isn't more expensive. Don't get me wrong, it's not cheap, but price-wise it's about the same other nice restaurants and I think our meal was a notch above the local competition. Great... More

This restaurant would be worth your time even in NY or Houston. In Grand Rapids, it's truly exceptional. The food is local and has a rustic style in some ways -- pickles, bacon jam -- but the restaurant's decor is modern and elegant without being at all fussy or pretentious. The bathrooms are especially nice, with a separate mini bathroom... More

In short, 5 people went to dinner, 5 separate entrees and we all loved everything. Would have a hard time choosing from our 5 meals if I came back bcs they were all delicious.

This is the type of food I most enjoy. But while my potato dumplings & fennel sausage were delicious, the small portion was not very filling and my husband's pork was just average. He said my gazpacho is much better than theirs. Had a bit of service issue during Art Prize but that's perhaps to be expected. All in all,... More
