The Real Food Café (this review is of the one on Northland) is a busy, yet friendly, stop for good--and varied--breakfast choices. My "Capicola Scramble" was particularly good--a mix of Capicola, spinach, roasted red peppers, potatoes and provolone melded nicely with scrambled eggs. Be prepared to wait a bit...we were there on a Sunday morning around 930. But the restaurant... More

Just love this place. It's the best we've ever tried. Food and coffee are always good and hot. Nice cozy, and friendly atmosphere too.

I visit this place when I travel to Grand Rapids, about every six months. I was there for breakfast today and was not disappointed. Huge portions, proper cooking and friendly, attentive service. Perfect for what it is.

I frequent this restaurant often with my husband, family and friends. The food is almost excellent everytime, however, there are a few waitresses who really need to learn to smile, and be a little friendlier.........come on, really??

My boyfriend and I headed to the RFC on a Sunday before a visit to Robinnettes. For Sunday brunch time, our wait wasn't too long and I love the greasy diner vibe so we were pretty excited to try the food.. Our server was good and she kept the coffee flowing but I was really disappointing in my food. I... More

Breakfast can be just OK when traveling. Most are the same standard as everyone else. However this is spot has a hometown feel, nothing fancy by "real" food. Large portions so if you are into sharing, that's what I would recommend.

I have been to this place 3 times now. Terrific food, large portions, friendly wait staff. First time was shocked that they do not take any form of plastic, cash or check only. So go hungry and take cash. Prices are comparable to any other breakfast/lunch restaurant.

This restaurant was recommend to us while visiting Grand Rapids, and it was a great choice for breakfast. The food was really good. The bakery items are excellent, try those huge cinnamon rolls and turnovers! Large portions, great french toast, and the gravy and biscuts are pretty darn good also. Friendly fast service - sort of controlled chaos, and pretty... More

I love going here but every time we order take out they miss the toast or the home fries. The pancakes are delicious and you only need one its do big. I had the Mediterranean scramble this time. It was good but the chicken wasn't of highest quality.

Been a regular for many years...breakfast or lunch is excellent. Lunch on Sunday can cost you 30 mins to wait....well worth it! Wait staff is excellent, a bit tight on busy days.
