Stay away from the House Specialty Carne Asada

Had dinner here on a Friday night. Chicken fajitas were good, Carne asada was uneatable. It was thin, 1/4 inch thick, and the toughest cut of meat I have encountered in a restaurant. Flavor was bland. Wont order that one again. Service was good, good serving size of food. I will return, but will... read more

Awesome food. Great selection on the menu and lots of help from the staff. Here's where they fall short and my experience went sour. I sat at the bar and the inebriated bartender had other priorities. Fondling the boyfriend's beard before serving us was all it took before I was concerned about having the worst service in my life. The... More

My wife and I went for a late lunch but closer to dinner hour and we have always thought the value for the portions here has always been great. The salsa has a great flavor and you can really tatse the garlic which we like. Dos Equis Amber on draft, and the Texas fajitas are the best. Shrimp, Steak, and... More

We went here today for lunch with our daughter, son-law, and 3 boys. The service was great, wait staff very accommodating to everyone, bringing refills of chips , salsa, and drinks ,for 3 hungry boys. Our food was excellent, portions large. We will definitely return, our bill was only $40 for 7 of us. Adults drank water for we were... More

La Cabaña is one of my favorites. Seen some reviews saying it's not authentic. Really? It's all Mexican kitchen staff. Not like other restaurant where you ask for lasagna and it's a Mexican guy doing the cooking. The only disappointing thing here are the wait staff all non Spanish speaking which of course is an issue at times you ask... More

This place never disappoints. Large quantities of well prepared Mexican food. On an authentic scale I would rate it 6 out of 10- more Americanized than Mexican. But the food is great and there's always a to go container. The 1.50 bottled domestics on happy hour doesn't hurt either!

I tried gorditas, and they were not authentic. My food was very greasy. My husband ordered fish, and he said it was fine. I don't want to go again because I didn't like my food.

So dinning in GR can be a gamble. With almost 300 options you cross your fingers and try something new or you visit the same old place. Well, this awesome little secret is tucked off Kalamazoo on 60th in a strip mall no less. Not something you would drive by and say, "let's try this". The parking lot is crowded,... More

The salsa and chips are great. The servers, can be questionable at best. I'm not the easiest person when ordering, but I make it simple to understand. When the server is sighing when you place your order and you ask for a refill of water and treats you like a problem? There are better places to go. Unfortunate.

Stopped by this restaurant on a Monday evening. It was hard to hear and understand our server, Tabitha. We had a good meal and portions were ample.
