Love the food here, they have the best gastro fusion techniques in town. The service is adequate, my only complaint is that, on an ongoing basis, the wait staff appear sloppy, dirty and sweaty. It does not speak well of consideration of sanitary conditions elsewhere in the restaurant (that said, the bathrooms are fine). Please consider dress and grooming codes... more

We ate at Bloom on a Saturday night in April and overall we enjoyed our meal. This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids on cozy and historic Monroe Center St. We ate early, without reservations, and got right in. We met friends here for a brunch. It was excellent food and service. Creativity in the selctions may at first make you wonder but have no doubts, it is great tasting. Amazing. Unique flavor combination, great cocktails, nice atmosphere...The only complaint I have is that, on a busy night, the seating would likely be a little close for comfort. Other than that, a definite must-visit. more
