If you've been hiking, skiing, or out on Lake Superior all day, you deserve a freshly brewed and tasty beer. This is the place (uh, the only place in Grand Marais) to get that beer. I had a weissbier as well as a stout. Both were excellent. Their pizza has a crisp puffy crust, and is obviously made with care.... More
My Husband and I stayed in Grand Marais for a night while on a weekend color tour. We chose LSBC over the other food/bar option in town which I believe was called the Sportsman. We had no problem getting a seat and found the busier than we maybe anticipated. I had a Hematite Stout and found it to be typical... More

Ordered beverages at bar, at which time my husband inquired about service but the bartender was preoccupied on the... More
LSBC Red was a very nice beer, went well with good pizza--plenty of cheese and tomato sauce. We were glad that they're open on Mondays after Labor Day!
Great story, great place, wonderful food. Burgers, Fish Chowder, salads, whatever...Don't miss it. and save room for ice cream or desert
Visited on a cool, windy Autumn day. Late afternoon but lots of action..hungry men in warm muddy gear shedding helmets and hanging them on wooden dowels with rocks on the end. Agates are on stain glassed window hangings and sealed into the wooden tables. It's rustic and "very UP" and suits the wildness of Lake Superior and the National Pictured... More
