This is restaurant is a local favorite a little pricey but always good. Great place to have a small party, anniversary, date or appetizers with friends.

Bennethum's is a family run restaurant that has consistently good food and attentive service. Josh (owner's son) is not only a great chef but "meets and greets" the patrons to get feed back. When in northern Michigan, you don't want to miss this establishment for a memorable dinner and super "happy hour"!!

This restaurant is the place to go if you want an up north casual experience with an excellent meal. The rustic decor greats you and let's you know it is time to leave the stress of city living behind. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive; the food delicious. I recommend including a salad with the pricey entrees...cost is more in... More

Seems like we can never get out of there without spending $100 per couple, the food is good, drinks are a little high priced, wait staff very attentive just a little expensive in my humble opinion. As usual I will return to this establishment.

We went to Gaylord for a day of shopping and to enjoy our 30th wedding anniversary.. We were looking for a nice place to enjoy the end of our day. A friend recommended this restaurant. We had a wonderful meal. We ordered the shrimp and ribs and split the dinner between the 2 of us. It was awesome!!! They serve... More

We enjoyed everything about our anniversary meal! We had a reservation for 5:30, by 6:00 the place was filled. They have a great concept of each month having a different theme. Last month was Oktoberfest, this month is Italian. To quote them, they have the best Happy Hour in the North: from 4-6 1/2 all drinks and $5.00 appetizers in... More

Big surprise. Looks like just a bar, but excellent food and service. Their famous bread might not be famous, but it is awesome. Leftovers made a great picnic lunch the next day. Our waitress told us that when she and her husband go on vacation, they stay in Gaylord so they can eat at Bennethums. I believe it.

This restaurant takes advantage of kids it adds a tip of 18% to the bill but doesn't for adults. They also didn't tell the kids about the 18%. There's better restaurants in Gaylord that don't take advantage of high school kids. The food at this restaurant is average at best.

We loved every thing about this place. Exceptional food and service. Paige was amazing. The appetizers were excellent and you could tell they have a skilled chef. We will definitely be back.

We chose to eat here again, after having a great experience last year. We were a roudy group, but the server was able to keep every one of us happy.
