Big surprise. Looks like just a bar, but excellent food and service. Their famous bread might not be famous, but it is awesome. Leftovers made a great picnic lunch the next day. Our waitress told us that when she and her husband go on vacation, they stay in Gaylord so they can eat at Bennethums. I believe it.

This restaurant takes advantage of kids it adds a tip of 18% to the bill but doesn't for adults. They also didn't tell the kids about the 18%. There's better restaurants in Gaylord that don't take advantage of high school kids. The food at this restaurant is average at best.

We loved every thing about this place. Exceptional food and service. Paige was amazing. The appetizers were excellent and you could tell they have a skilled chef. We will definitely be back.

We chose to eat here again, after having a great experience last year. We were a roudy group, but the server was able to keep every one of us happy.

Our group of 8 guys have been going to Gaylord to play golf for many years, and Bennethum's has become the first night choice for the last several years. One entre that I really enjoy is their parmesan encrusted walleye. But with 8 guys, we've pretty much sampled most of the menu, from pizza to steaks, and they manage to... More

My mom and I were on our way to Harbor Springs and stopped here for dinner. I like to stop at restaurants that are not part of a chain and this was a wonderful surprise. The food was really good, great atmosphere and terrific service. Our server was very knowledgable and helpful with the menu items. We both had the... More

We sat in the lively bar area and enjoyed Parmesan Brussels sprouts--don't miss these! Our large veggie pizza was tasty and perfectly prepared--more than ample for 2, although the $24 price tag seemed a bit high. We'd go back, though, because we don't mind paying for delicious!

Stopped by Bennethum's after golfing at the Loon. Great happy hour from 4-6. Appetizers and drinks half off. Ordered the whitefish, boneless chicken, and the calamari. Sat outside as long as we could. Very nice. Stop in if your looking for a good drink and appetizers. Will stop again.

Family owned & run, gourmet quality, farm to table ( or lake to table) fresh. Fish is tender and fried crisp...not at all greasy. Bread made fresh. Drinks generous. Desserts decadent. Decor is woodsy cabin, of course! Order the perch, steaks, or burgers....you will not be disappointed. Chef quality, family friendly.

This place has a diverse menu. A wide variety of menu items all cooked very well. Service is first rate. I had the fish tacos and French onion soup. Very good. Upscale casual is what I would call this place. The atmosphere is a little dark for my tastes, but the excellent food and wonderful service made it worthwhile.
