Good beer, strange visit.

We had driven by this place for years on our trips up I=75 and had always thought it would be great to go there and get some local craft beer & lunch. So we did just that. We walked in on a Monday afternoon to a relatively empty restaurant and were told there would be a 20 minute wait for... read more

Stopped here on a Friday around 4:45 and the place was not busy at all. It did pick up around 6:30. We tried a bunch of their beers and they were very good. Happy hour helped with the bill (I don't remember what time it was from). We had appetizers of nachos and potato skins and they were really good.... More

Had lunch with two friends after flying in to Gaylord Regional Airport. Third time I've eaten there. Lunch menu was excellent, reasonably priced, large portions. If you're into craft beers this place has it all in terms of variety. (no drinking and flying of course, but if you have a designated driver/pilot their beers are excellent!) Try it, you'll probably... More

My boys and I were looking forward to a real meal after a week of bear hunting in Ontario, holding off stopping until we hit the BBB. Ordered steaks and beer. My fillet, was ordered medium and arrived very dry and almost well done. After politely sending it back, I received a raw sirloin in its place after 30 more... More

The food was delicious, the wait staff was super, but most of all it was just a very nice place to sit back and enjoy each other's company. The Baymont Hotel was in walking distance but when we asked for a good place to eat, the Big Buck was never mentioned. When we returned from dining we mentioned that this... More

Benn going to this place on and off for years. This visit was disappointing. Featured on the menu is prime rib. They go on and on about it and then in fine print tell you it's only available on Fri- Sat. Steaks are expensive. Had a sirloin $24 . Asked if I wanted mushrooms or onions, implying there were included.... More

Do not waste your time or money- wine was aweful. Steak was tough, service was ok. Beer was average. Prices were very very high for the quality and quantity of food. No salad no bread for over $30 for a steak.

Wow, we had such a terrible experience here... The server was friendly but ultimately awful. We weren't greeted until we had been there 15+ minutes, the waitress kept forgetting about us, we ordered drinks and dessert and they both took forever and weren't that good, then we got the bill and it was outrageous! We will never go back.

Coming from beer city USA in Grand Rapids Michigan we were excited to visit big buck brewery and were so disappointed! We chose beer battered onion rings as a starter assuming they were homemade but when they arrived they were soggy and soaked in fryer oil. Couldn't even gag them down. Next I got a bowl of beer cheese soup.... More

Was very disappointed in the quality and taste of food. My husband ordered medium steak but this was rare inside and medium out. He didn't want to send back as the exterior would have been overdone. It was tough and hard to chew but it was late and there were not many choices that were not chain or fast food.... More
