We like to learn about the local flavor and this hotel is family owned on site and staffed by locals who really know the area. The rooms are all different and unique. A great fusion of old and new!

Best service, informed & very friendly staff. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at home. We will make a point to return and would like to stay at the Inn.

This place has really had some troubles over the past few years. It used to be a consistent place. Now with several changes of ownership, it is hard to rate. Never know how one day or the next will be.

.I am sorry but I believe when you order pasta you should get bread and salad with it and here your salad comes extra. The food is OK but nothing special and the prices would make you believe it should be special. The place itself is pretty and clean and I would like to go back but the value keeps... More

Stayed here in April for two nights for our anniversary. It was amazing. The staff was overly helpful and they wanted to make our stay special. The food was amazing and the drinks were great. The room was clean and it is a type of room you cannot find any where else in Michigan. We will return.

I hesitate to write a bad review, but I feel I have no choice. Having stayed at the inn before it changed management, we were excited to return. Until we arrived. It felt like a strange episode of the Twilight Zone. Can a waitress be too over-the-top friendly? It felt awkward when she was more excited about how our food... More

Hello ajackkfam, I really would appreciate if you had addressed me with your problems or concerns before running straight to TripAdvisor. It's very difficult to fix problems I don't know about. Maybe you would have preferred a waitress that said nothing at all? If the butter tasted wrong we could have brought new butter and same with the steaks. I... More

We really enjoyed eating at the Sleeping Bear Inn last night. It was our first time there in several years. We all had the seafood buffet. The server brought delicious salads ... nice greens, real bacon crumbles, ripe tomatoes, and a tasty blue cheese dressing for me. It was a good indicator of the food to come. We had French... More

We were there for the food. The greeter was nice.. But we were confused when he sat us in the dining area which was supposed to be closed and we mentioned we were there for the pub and food. The waitress was nice and timely... But our food was almost cold. Other than the temperature.. It tasted okay but not... More

I visited this Inn many times over the years and have had good times, good food and drinks. However, we were unhappy to find new management this summer. The air conditioning was off, the staff members were eating at the bar, and the atmosphere has declined. We will not go back until there are changes. So sad beacuse the location... More

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your unfavorable experience at our establishment. We strive to provide exceptional service and an all around memorable experience for all guests. The air conditioning is set at a comfortable 71 degrees and the staff has been talked to about acceptable dining locations. As for the atmosphere, we have received numerous compliments. Although I...
